- Spotlight producer Paul Larson invites us back to a simpler time, when "social distancing" was not a common term. His second interview with Il Volo happened on January 30, 2020, backstage at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec. No one was talking about postponing shows back then. No one was wearing a mask. Larson and the Italian lads sat less than six feet apart and chatted about their 10 year career, and their sixth PBS special, shot in beautiful Matera Italy. WOW! Beautiful and different voices blended to a magnificent sound! ❤
These young men have such a God given talent! Three distinct voices that mesh like a fine wine! Ginaluca ,the crooner with rich warm vocals that remind me of Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, but ten times better! Piero, with that intense booming tenor voice and he sings so effortlessly. Then Ignazio, singing the higher range ,maybe even falsetto, of the tenor voice. His voice is beautiful and maybe the more versatile of the three. I also am a opera musician. So whoever put them together knew what he was doing! They appear to be very down to earth people and it is refreshing. Now if I have a hectic day, I come home fix supper and put my ear phones on and listen to unwind. Thank you guys for sharing yourselves with the rest of the world!
Oh yeah, Queen should have asked you to tour Ignazio, your singing Somebody to Love was better tan Adam Lambert and I am a fan of his also!

My goal is to see you in concert one day ,but if that is not meant to be, at least I have your beautiful videos to enjoy , & your CDs so thank you for that.Your music has brought me a great deal of Joy especially during these crazy times we ha e been living in The Clovis years. Perfection personified! Although these three may claim that their English skills are weak, they express themselves better than a lot of native English speakers.

I just keep falling in love with these three the more I see of them. The way that Piero's face lights up when he talks about his grandfather, Gianluca's warmth radiates even through his seriousness, and Ignazio's joyful spirit! Cheers to celebrating those 50 years together!

Son maravillosos. sus prodigiosas voces, bendecidas por Dios, su carisma,tanto grupal como particular, su amor fraterno , con esas manifestaciones de cariño y complicidad de unos con otros en cada presentacion( que a proposito han disminuido en este año 2022 en las presentaciones que han hecho, y que no deben dejarlas, pues el publico se enamora mas, cada vez que ve esas lindas expresiones de cariño , hermandad y complicidad entre ellos), los dialogos para introducir cada canciòn y sus divertidas discusiones, sus canciones y repertorio tan bien escogidos, su manager, el equipo que trabaja detras de todo para lograr que cada paso que dan sea perfecto, su increible y adorable y admirable sencillez, ese orgullo que expresan de ser originarios de sicilia y abruzzo , el respaldo y el amor que reciben de sus padres y hermanos y que ellos mismos no dejan de agradecer, todo eso unido ,son inmensos factores de exito y hacen de ese grupo el mas emocional, original, armonioso y bello que existe actualmente.
