I really loved Mr. Shorofsky's First Day Speech where he breaks down their Schedules. In the Morning they do their "Majors" they get 30 Minutes for Lunch then work on their Afternoon Subjects which are English, French, Algebra, Biology, History & Chemistry. Not to compare but over the years The Mickey Mouse Club Producers made the "Children" do Class first, then rehearse later on and if their Grades weren't up to par they would be put on either Probation or be let go.
Probably Ralph got into the drama department since that was the one department where he didn't audition accompanied by "Swanee River" - nothing wrong with that song but he didn't feel natural with it. By not using it while auditioning for drama he showed himself to be genuine, especially since he showed he was interested in HSPA since that was his idol Freddie Printz's alma mater (hopefully not aspiring to the same sad end that Freddie had). Hope someone had some Excedrin for poor Mr. Shorofsky after hearing Ralph's music department audition playing "Swanee River" on the harmonica.
Is it me or is it kind of rude to "Eat" when The Auditions take place. Also, when I see The Seniors in The Room, they are probably the Hot Shots one of which was played by Boyd Gaines who has won Tonys for his work on Broadway. He got a major slice of Humble Pie in The Movie who thought he was going to be the hottest new thing on TV and forgoes College and works as a Waiter like so many Actors/Actresses have done.
Ralph's Dancing would have been a riot on Saturday Night Live.
Thank you for posting this!! It means a lot to me
My best friend is playing Ralph, or should I say Raul Garcia lmao

Probably the only chance they had to eat.
He has no talent and they let him stay to get one.
He wanted to go to The Same School that his Idol Freddie Prinze went to.
Actually, I would argue that third audition showed some talent.
