- We visit Batan in beautiful Batanes! Exploring Basco, Ivana and all of the surroundings - North and South tour.
Note: Itbayat ans Sabtang are on their way in an other movie! Keep your eye on this channel not to mis out on them.
Where we slept:
At Nanay Cita's homestay. A lovely woman and a lovely homestay! Definitely recommended, also for the budget traveler.
Where we ate:
I love Cafe du Tukon near La Funcation Pacita. It is a bit expensive, but the views are amazing! Go for some fresh fish, it's amazing.
Also take a look at Honesty Coffee Shop - you'll visit this in your south tour. Where no one will take your order, they just trust you to pay the right amount in the donations box. How cool is that!
Favorite place:
Vayang Rolling hills and Marlboro Country. Can you tell I'm a nature lover? ;) But also the Batan / Basco (naidi) lighthouse is nice to see. Especially when it's dark and the stars take over! At an island as safe as this one, you can do some serious stargazing, even as a girl alone.
Also Valugan Boulder Beach is amazing when you visit early morning. Ask your guide to take you here first!

What makes you say that? There is always a way tourism comes in in some places, and stays out of others. That being said: come and check Amsterdam. I can tell you the Dutch don't know how to preserve a beautiful city with great vibes too when it comes to tourism ;)

I heard one of the reasons why tickets were expensive was because of limited flights to control the number of people visiting the place. Imagine what will happen if throngs of tourists invade the islands due to cheap flights. It makes sense to me.

You are correct. The towns of Batanes are mindful of the number of visitors that they get. It is increasing every year! The mayors were setting a maximum number of people that they thought they could accommodate without doing any harm to their environment. I kinda agree with them.
yes it's true for them to limit the number of tourist going there since the Island can't accommodate more tourist and also to protect the Island for environmental pollution like human waste and among others...

I love the rules in that store, where in they dont have any attendant, so pay the goods/items you take in all honesty. The owner trusts the people who would come in their store, whom they have NOT seen and would NEVER ever see... 👍

Philippines is full of Beautiful, Amazing and Paradise Island with its 7,107 Islands to choose from, it is some kind of God's Gift that cannot be taken from their people.
