Just browsing on YT and found this video. I know it's been a year since the video was uploaded, but I don't want to skip those beautiful places in the other side of Italy.. Subscribed!
I'm Italian and I can say I live there, just not so many miles away from Alberobello & Locorotondo (less than 35 miles). I go there almost twice or three times a year. Even if Alberobello is something unique, peculiar, one in a lifetime place, I still do prefer Locorotondo as it gives me some sence of peace and relax. I enjoy so much more walking and wandering through the many narrow streets of Locorotondo...I don't know why. Both are beautiful places btw.
Hi Andre and Lisa.. I’ve just come across your channel and am thoroughly enjoying travelling with you.. I’m unsure whether you’re heading to Sicily or not as yet but if you do, I highly recommend catching a ferry from Milazzo to the Aeolian Islands.. My mum was born on the island of Lipari and it’s absolutely beautiful as are all the islands.. Happy travels 🇮🇹🇦🇺
Ciao Adriano! Thank you for the comment ❤ Unfortunately our plans to get to Sicily this year was somewhat derailed after 'getting stuck' in Puglia.. I love the idea to go to the Aeolian islands - thank you - it wasn't really on our radar.
Oh that’s a shame but getting stuck in Puglia is my dream one day as I plan to move there from Australia when I retire.. Keep it mind if you ever return.. if you loved the waters in Puglia, you’ll love it there too 😃 Really enjoying your travels although I’m equally very jealous too ! Great quality videos by the way 👌🏼
Thanks for doing this video, it is an area high on our bucket list. We are going to the mountains for a few days to hopefully catch some of the remaining autumn color. Also we have decided our next upgrade is going to be our mattress. Currently we can feel the metal ridge in the center of the wooden slates that the mattress rests on and this does not make for a a good nights rest. I think you mentioned in a previous video that yours is quite comfortable and very important for living in the rv long term. Happy travels, Jes, Paul & Silly
Hi guys, thanks for the comment. We're loving this area of Italy - it suits our lifestyle like a glove - for this time of the year anyway.! It has mild weather, glorious beaches and thin crowds. Off season it can be a challenge to find open service areas but it's not impossible and water is freely available. We might make some changes to the van going forward to cope with the off season a bit better next time.. 🤔 Do yourself a Favour and change that mattress. Due to the odd size it can be expensive but we managed to find a perfect match off the shelf and we just had to cut the one corner for the French layout. Downside is you can't ever rotate the mattress so it won't last forever. But even if we do it every year it will be money well spent. Enjoy the mountains! It still feels a bit like summer here in Puglia..
As usual stunning drone footage you're getting very good! Love the idea of a breakfast ice cream, I'm really jealous and why not, ice cream can be eaten at any time.
Amazingly beautiful, thank you sò much for sharing your amazing trips.. Do you take your own motorhome or do you rent wherever you go? Regards Gerda van der Westhuizen👏🏼💃🎼
Love your videos, I have been thinking of doing a few weeks in a camper van this winter in Spain, and your tips and experiences are really useful for someone new to this 👍😀
😁 Our upload schedule is completely out of whack. But that's a long story. 🤣 Puglia is really growing on us and you would definitely enjoy all these little villages in this area!
Oh man I go here every other summer and it is beautiful! I went to the caves in Alberrobello in 2020 and 2022, we discovered the beautiful Polignano beach in 2022, I'm going back this year in August, and it's gonna be great!
Hi guys! Thanks for your video's. My wife and I will be traveling to Puglia in September. We are staying in Cisternino for one week and then near Castro for another week. Your videos have been very helpful. One reason we chose the Puglia region was for the lack of tourist. We want an authentic Italian experience.
Awesome! What we really like about Salerno especially is how you close you are to many really amazing towns - as well as the ocean. Some really nice beaches on the west coast as well south of Taranto. You'll have a great time in September! We're definitely a bit jealous. 😎
Dear All, You talk in the video about tourists as different people, and you are...............?? These kind of messages does not help humanity Regards! L.
Hi Luciano. Thank you for the comment. Of course, you are correct. We are ALL tourist in some way or other. As full-time travelers we're hardly isolated from the world. Referring to someone as a tourist is not particularly derogatory. However, not everyone 'travel' in the same way and by pointing out how the atmosphere of a location change depending on time of day, is offering someone else a choice on how they prefer to experience it. All the best. ❤
Wow, was about to comment the same thought. He says he's a full time traveler which just equates to full time tourist as they are not residents of any of the places they travel to. Majority of these hotspots they go to contribute to the local economy.
Hi, if I want to visit Alberobello and another town from Bari by public transportation in one day, whick town I should choose? Martina Franca or Locorotondo? thanks.
We would probably suggest Locorotondo. It's a compact town which offers quite a lot to a visitor. The best might be to go to Locorotondo first early morning then end in Alberobello to catch sunset there. Enjoy!

😂 Great to have you joining us! Those towns are just as beautiful today as back then. Hope you'll continue to enjoy our videos! 😊

Both are definitely beautiful! We also prefer the more peaceful sense of Locorotondo but love both! ❤️

It was during the first week of October. Thanks for watching!

Thanks David 🤣. Our motto is, you never regret a swim. Or an ice-cream. Or watching sunset. Or sunrise. Or Something like that. 🍦
@@WeWillNomad well, your certainly making wonderful memories!

Love your videos, I have been thinking of doing a few weeks in a camper van this winter in Spain, and your tips and experiences are really useful for someone new to this 👍😀
Thanks! You'll love it, it's an incredible way to get to see parts of Europe away from the main tourist attractions
very nice to follow your videos here from Norway, and extra good with Norwegian/Danish subtitles👍👍😊
Awesome thanks! We'll definitely make sure to add those subtitles going forward 👍
Wait a long time for this video😉
Gelato always a good idea, André😁
Would love to see this city🤩

@@WeWillNomad you are busy convincing us to tour the south of Italy and it was not in our planning🙄
😁 You will love it guaranteed. But alas, many incredible places to see no matter where you find yourself.
may i know how safe it is to park at locorotondo? thanks!
There are plenty of parking options (check Park4Night) and we felt safe there! Enjoy!
Nice one keep them coming
And by the way ,my Diesel heater has arrived today
Sounds like progress! We might just need those heaters soon! 😬
Love your video. Great to Salentoparkrun with you this morning! 😊
😁 Thanks Natasha! Nice to meet you! Was really quite a fun experience to do a local parkrun while on the road.

Hello from Estonia!
We love your videos.
Be cool!!!😎
Thank you! ❤️
I had the same look on my face as the kids were screaming as you did 😂 10:50
😁 Ha ha that's funny 🤣 In Italy screaming kids usually mean that they are having fun.
We always look forward to your videos. Lovely town. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Awesome, thanks so much for your comment ❤️
Another great video. VERY HELPFUL. Safe HAPPY TRAVELS

André I believe you have created a new tongue twister "tacky touristy trinkets", now say that twenty times!
Can hardly do it once! 😋 Might just be good practice for improving enunciation and reduce mumbles.
@@WeWillNomad luckily I understand you just fine!
THE ANSWER IS CELLINO SAN MARCO
We'll be sure to visit next time we're in Puglia! Thank you!
