    Great job, love watching people fishing so close to where I am. Makes me wish I had a boat to get out on the water.

    You can catch those spotted trout a mile out by the dozens. To bad most are 12 inch.

      Summer Trout, no matter where you're catching then, are usually are about that size! I've found a few hot zones around the Bayport/Hernando area since shooting that vid. Best around Fall/Spring, of course, but loaded with 18" + trout -- almost never any dinks. Too hot right now inshore.

      @TheGalaxy Gamer Thanks! Try the Hernando beach channel during twilight periods (inside, on the flats side, and target the cuts and points). With how hot it is right now, the fish need easy relief from the heat. The deeper channel there helps. You can also target trout about a quarter mile past the end of the bayport channel (and slightly north) as there is some decent deeper grass out there (good for summer fishing). During fall (end of oct/beg of nov) the channel is still a nice spot (mid morning, when it heats up a bit) and the flat outside of bayport (right of the channel when heading out) is decent. 2-3' of water good for trout/reds and the occasional cobia/snook.

    Great video, looks like the mud river area. Recently caught a 27" trout in those backwaters!

      Mike Guskiewicz wow, that’s a beast! This vid was from the centipede bay area, between Hernando Beach and Jenkins Creek. Close to mud river, though!

      @@StellarOutdoors My first time back there and it won't be the last. Kayak may be the better way to go. Fishing picked up when we got all the way back to where the water get's clearer, near the spring. If it weren't for the tide rushing out there would have been plenty of more fish in the boat. Saw fish everywhere on our way out (the baymax1910 drafts about 11" so it got a little sketchy there towards the end!).

    Is this minnow creek? Because if so I go kayak fishing there and get black drum often

    • @theinshoredangle
      @theinshoredangle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, although I think way back in there (caught the red as far back as we could take the boat) Minnow Creek kinda merges with Centipede Bay. Fun area to fish!

      The Inshore Dangle yea, what baits were you using? The trout and reds haven’t been biting as good as normal

      @@macmac5973 That day we were throwing mainly 3" gulp shrimp, in various colors, on 1/8oz DOA jigheads. I believe we caught the trout in the video on a mantis shrimp with a chartreuse tail. I caught the red on a white 3" gulp shrimp. I don't usually throw gulp, but a guy are our marina suggested try them over there because he maxed out on trout the week prior using them. I always have the gulp with me now if the bite is slow and fish are spooky. I've been throwing slayer baits, paddle tails, lately. I caught 5 trout in Fillman this past weekend using them, albeit only one slot.

      The Inshore Dangle do you think a DOA shrimp would work well?

      Lavonte David is the best outside linebacker absolutely, I’d suggest using a root beer color, darker profile.

    Silence or background noise would've been much better. I just couldn't tolerate it.

    Couldn’t pay me enough to eat BP oil contaminated fish . Was never cleaned up. Bottom of gulf has 1/4- 1/2 inch of oil n bottom.

      Our area is known for being clean. Gin clear water and good eats!
