It would be better in the long run if the GNU parties formed a single party since the GNU can't last forever and we can't allow a party to govern who doesn't represent all SA races and cultures.
This is pure coalition not GNU. Problem with Ramaphosa is that most of his Ministers are defying him. He is unable to act because he might be recalled. Opposition parties are reluctant to implement ANC government policies because they are having theirs. Most of all,it wants to out smart ANC government by all means. Their Ministers are reporting to their parties first on whatever.
The young and very capable DA Ministers of the GNU are shaking things up ( in their respective portfolios )and bringing positive change and progress to our beautiful country!! Well done, DA! See- DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay. See - Impressive new school in the Western Cape, TH-cam. This is a beautiful new Kasi school in Lwandle in Cape Town!
You are really smoking something strong ey...first of all DA's own data shows that the number of indigent households in the Western Cape has increased year on year so this raises the question about the effectiveness of their policies in addressing poverty and inequalities. Regarding that one school you are so proud of why not consider the broader context that one school no matter how impressive it is, that doesn't necessarily translate nor indicate systematic improvements in the education outcomes for all.
@thanduxolomkhize The City of Cape Town encourages poor people who are indigent to register as such, so that they may benefit from more free basic services!!
@@tonitappous2422I would say that the city of cape town is using this strategy with the intention to create a culture of dependency on government handouts rather than empowering the poor to break cycle of poverty. Moreover, the registration process more often then not it's cumbersome and exclusionary as many people may not have all the required docs and many other hindrances they may face and I've seen people who need these services are left behind. One last thing, the cities approach in my view seems to focus on providing temporal relief rather than investing in sustainable, long-term solutions. YES the indigent process provides some short-term benefits, BUT it doesn't address the systemic issues driving poverty in cape town. If DA is serious about solving social ills and issues of inequalities you need to adopt a more comprehensive and inclusive approach to tackling poverty, one that prioritizes empowerment, sustainability and social justice.
Isn't it perhaps time that we abandon the idea of a unitary state and rather move towards a federalism? Clearly South Africans have diverse aspirations for the future of the country and there's little room for compromise, unless we want to continue with coalition politics where infighting and ideological disparities effectively undermines their ability to govern effectively.
@thepantheoncon You have the wrong impression of the DA! The DA has a 15-year track record of honest ( Clean Audits) and very capable Governments that deliver for ALL South Africans, regardless of race and especially to the poor!! See - DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay. See - Impressive new school in the Western Cape, TH-cam. This is a brand new Kasi school in Lwandle in Cape Town!
At this point in time, there is a clarion call from all Safricans for competent governance, and if it's white or yellow with purple polka dots, and it's effecient, then so be it. My black people can't govern. Look at Africa. Botswana stepping up to the plate showing Africa how it aught to be done.
