I like how Lyney defence was "My client couldn't possibly commit the crime because he was committing another crime when the crime you accuse him of took place!".
Yeah. It's like after the original trial ended, no one gave a shit that Lyney was trying to illegally inspect and potentially subvert the oratrice. Maybe it's because no one officially pressed charges against Lyney for trying to examine the oratrice's core, so even though he broke the law, no one brought charges against him. I think after getting owned by the Traveller, Furina would probably have been reluctant to bring more charges against Lyney.
I think it's bc they want to reel in the big fish like the Harbingers, not their henchmen. So they'll delay Lyney and Lynette's trial until there is evidence they can use towards the entire organization. @@paulyoung7551
@@paulyoung7551i’m also kinda surprised that him and lynette being revealed as fatui didn’t like affect his reputation. or even everything that happened in general 😅
people forget that the travler also refused to help ayaka in inazuma at first. the only reason we got involved was because ayaka said she could get us infront of the shogun.
Only reason we helped Sumeru as well was because we couldn’t speak to the archon otherwise. It seemed like we were very enthusiastic, but like… We had no other choice but to help Sumeru to contact Nahida given what happened.
@@GlaycierThe traveler didn't want to ask about their siblings to her, because Nahida was only born after they separated. Traveler saves Nahida because they always pass out during their journey in sumeru, comes into Irminsul's consciousness
Yea the traveler has been refusing favors since Inazuma, i remember clearly how we refused Ayaka's proposal to stop the vision hunt decree but she then proceeded to show us the consequences by the visionless ppl we met afterwards which was able to convince us to bring Inazuma to peace. Sumeru on the other hand had us specifically involved from the get go with the Samsara dream harvesting plan and the artificially created god. Also, we weren't necessarily be able to talk to the archon if she's trapped in the first place. Fontaine doesn't have those situations and we've the means to talk to the archon without getting involved in some country threatening situation from the start but this time it just takes a long appointment to meet the archon and it doesn't helps she is turbo stupid.
Having MC not being trusting toward Lyney after this is actually make sense, considering that Lumine/Aether immediately put their trust on the twins. I think it hurts more bcs Traveler can understand sibling love like Lyney n Lynette, but to get the truth slapped on their face by Furina n not by the twins themselves, it hit differently
I agreee. Like they're still somewhat cautious about Childe even after all this time but they went all friendly with Raiden, Lyney and Lynette. Could've atleast gave them the treatment they did with Childe
Aether said he couldn't trust Lyney completely, that doesn't mean he considers Lyney his enemy, just that he won't blindly trust him, i think that is a fair stance considering all that happened with him.
THIS! The first time my friends told me this fun fact, I was totally flabbergasted. Couldn't believe it was the exact same person! Mad respect to all VAs everywhere, some of them have seriously honed their skill to a point!
It's so entertaining how much a laid-back and chill guy like Bwaap is so irritated and fed up with Furina. He just wants to humble the bratty, words in mouth putter, hydro archon.
fr but personally I find JP Furina a lot less irritating than EN Furina. The ENG VA did a phenomenal job at making people want to punch her character lol.
Yes I also want her to put in place, her irresponsibility cause me conflicted thoughts just as Ei's *past* egoism and irresponsibly... Having their citizens to bear the consequences of it... Alas Furina hasn't caused a bloodshed... Yet...
I feel like some people have this odd misinterpretation about the traveler and Childe dynamic. We never actively find him and choose to hangout. We choose to keep the peace. Outing him in front of his brother does nothing for us. He showed up randomly when we were helping Xinyan for Sara; there’s no reason to involve her in his mess so we just keep an eye out. Then when he’s with Yoimiya we actively tell her who he is and that he’s supposed to be banned from the country. We even ask him what he’s up to. The traveler even knew by the time they went to the Golden House to expect him to show up and try to steal the gnosis. At this point he’s a known risk. Lyney and Lynnette have been hiding big truths even after we decided to defend them in court against someone who already tried throwing us in jail. The Traveler gets to be mad and wary.
Although I technically agree in some regards, I wouldn't say Childe and the traveler simply keep the peace. You need to remember that it seems as if we do stuff with those characters outside of their stories, especially with the way Childe was greeting us in Fontaine. He not only started a friendly chat with us, but told us about his siblings again. Out of the blue. Tonia too, which is odd because Childe didn't talk much about his other siblings in all the times that we've met. It indicates the traveler and Childe might've kept in touch through letters or at least met up sometime. Besides, Childe gave us his literal vision, yes he is trusting of others, but traveler wouldn't need to hold onto it. They know Childe is dangerous after all. ALSO, spoiler for the current story quest in Fontaine: When Childe is starting to transform into his foul legacy traveler does not stop him, Neuvilette does. Traveler doesn't interfere at all, when Childe is starting to fight back. In general, the traveler has stopped trying to disrupt what Childe is doing, even if he is fatui. Keeping peace is one thing, but it seems traveler doesn't have any problem with Childe. Keep in mind that Childe told us he is just a tool and WILL follow what the Tsaritsa wants. Lyney on the other hand follows what he thinks is right, explained his reasons and promised he didn't plan on involving us in any of this. Childe did. And judging by his explaination about the abyss, Childe never even explained those things from his past and they somehow don't make the traveler suspicious. An abyss? As in the abyss order? Who knows, traveler doesn't question it. Furthermore, in the end of the current story quest, traveler asks Neuvilette why Childe was seen as guilty and thrown into the prison. And Neuvilette interacts with the traveler and promises he will find out the 'why', which would be odd if the traveler doesn't care about Childe, right? Wouldn't concern him at all, there's no reason to ask about Childe, a harbinger who follows orders without questioning them.
@@Naynin I think we didn’t stop it because 1.) We didn’t have the time to 2.) The archon and their assistant were there. We like Childe in a way that’s basically he was honest with us about his identity right away, and is the least likely to use us for anything other than “Hey, I wanna fight you lol” because that’s literally his whole personality. Childe has been mostly straight forward with us (minus his scheme in Liyue, but he also wasn’t in on all of it.) Lyney has been truthful, but only after the damage has been done. If Lyney told us himself, I think we would have reacted differently than if we had found out mid trial.
@@Glaycier But we need to keep in mind that Lyney didn't lie to us. He simply didn't say that he is part of the Fatui, which seems fair given it had nothing to do with us whatsoever. Besides, Lynette and Lyney aren't even harbingers. Would they have said it in the future? Maybe. But logically speaking the twins did nothing wrong, they weren't obligated to say anything. Childe on the other hand actively went against the traveler, no matter how honest he might've been. He tried drowning a nation to chase out the Archon.
As someone whose seen Childe and Wanderer's dialogue about the Knave, the number of people making art of Arlecchino being a nice parent to the twins and Friminet is disconcerting.
She's literally a groomer. She grooms them into child soldiers. Yes, she has some morals like protecting Lynette from being SA'ed, but she still experiments on children. I hope she isn't redeemed and if she becomes a playable character, let it be as a villain.
Furinas design is so pretty, and even though many people dislike Furinas personality I really think it makes her more interesting and unique and I really love that.
Liking annoying people (not even borderline brats, just straight up annoying people) is called being chronically a wee-a-boo. She acts like my classmates when I was in 6th grade
i think Lyney truly believes what he says about arlechinno, but arlechinno's lying to the twins. it could just be that she murdered the "eminent person" bc of their dealings with the fatui and just discovered lynette and the other girls in his house, and saw it as an opportunity to have the twins indebted to her. I'm like 80% sure the twins are being manipulated
Well Traveler being suspicious is not unfounded: Childe went full city murder mode in Liyue and tried to kill an entire city, Signora went behind Childe's back, Signora and Scara fanned the war and supplied delusions to cripple a nation (also misleading the Archon), learn that Dotore did (and probably does) pretty evil experiments and uses Scara as guiny pig (also messing Scara up BAD just for another experiment), in the desert the Dotore fanboy kidnaps people for his experiments for "sempai's approval" including Jeht, Arlecino herself trains her soldiers to be ruthless and her subordinates tried to restart war in Inazuma and house of Hearth operatives using children as bait to capture Aranara The only good Fatui we meet are the people in Chasm (and we even read how Fatui actually helped there), last year Golden Arcipellago Fatui group, that one hydrogunner during Ganyu quest (more like innocent but still) and the people in sumeru trying to FLEE the house of Hearth (more in the line of not wanting to stay there, not many evidence of them doing good or bad) and current Gendou Ringo (the fortune slipper not the ninja) The Fatui is like a hydra, one head does not know what the other is doing, so the reason for distrust is there, even if Lyney is trusted since he could be only a pawn.
as a survivor of s/a and grooming, i identified deeply with lynette, and i really feel for her. she's quickly become one of my newest favorite characters in genshin.
Well to be fair bwaap, so far the Fatui name has come in: - Kicking venti in the balls and outright stealing a gnosis. -Making a contract to orchestrate an at least nation ending event in the form of a giant water serpent. and this are the forgiving ones. Now.. -Orchestrate an actual nation ending event in the form of a civil war; an actual war mind you, who knows how many people died before we came into picture; to use the soldiers as test subjects for their experiments with delusions. -Basically let a nuke explode off, leaving a good part of the inazuma lands uninhabitable, while also manipulating a puppet into becoming an existence seeking power and chaos. -Basically tempting the academia into doing a lot of experiments with the mind of its nation posibly killing a couple of people that they could just remove from everyones minds, and with that create a "god" with the results. (Sealing nahida is an academiya fault) And maybe a couple of minor ones i forgot, point is, traveler is in his/her right to not trust the organization as a whole.
You haven't even included the times when the Fatui were present in World Quest and Limited Time events, like that Pokémon event in Sumeru, and the World Quest in that small Sumeru village
I believe CatWithBlueHat is right about his theory, and in the future archon quests we will come to realize just how much the Fatui and Arlechinno played us in this quest.
@@IceHeartAlphaAccording to the theory, Lyney and Lynette are actually guilty: they have been planning to kill Cowell all along (maybe because of his involvement with the Primordial Seawater business) and Liliane was their accomplice (possibly a Fatuus as well). The trial was just an act they put up to be declared innocent
I completely believe Traveler's reaction towards Lyney lying is normal, he only met him for like...3 days, he doesn't know him well and he lied to the Traveler, well, not really but he was not 100% honest with us...if it were me I will be wary too....also this is in the middle of a court hearing, Lyney didn't tell us an information that will make or break his case (in this instance break it coz the Fatui have a bad reputation among the people of Fontaine and their say influences the Oratrice) our reputation is at stake already, if I were the attorney I'll lose my mind and be angry as well. When in regards to Arlecchino, I look at her as a Mama bear, very protective to the point of going batshit crazy, even if her reasons for being ruthless is to protect her "children", murder is still murder, I will not think of a murderer as a kind person....well that's just my opinion anyways~
From what I hear she turns the kids into soldiers. Kinda… Um… Yeah, but I’d imagine she is kinda momma bear-like to them. (Doesn’t want the other Fatui to mess with her kids)
From what both Childe and Wanderer say about her in their profiles, the Knave sounds more like a person who takes vulnerable children and grooms them into her child army. While she may have rescued Lynette, it was most likely for her personal gain and not for moral reasons
the House of the Hearth was mentioned in Lyudochka's hidden quest in Inazuma and also where they first mentioned Arlecchino long before The Winter Night's Lazzo was released and it was also mentioned by Katarina(the Cicin Mage in the Chasm) as her and her brother was also from the House of the Hearth and lastly by a note left by Alphonso after completing the first act of the Aranara quest and confront him with his involvement.
Its just these are long quests with a lot going on and awhile ago. Not easy to remember. And some may not have done them since its not part of the main story
Not to mention, we literally straight up kill some of these Hearth people in those quests, like, actual murder without any plausible deniability. It's a bit wild that Arlecchino and the twins are so friendly to us lmao
@@marco4103Exactly. Though its the same energy as Angry Joe hating Genshin cuz gacha is Satan. But compared to that its understandable that Furina isn't for everyone.

Traveler: "I still can't trust you, Lyney." bwaap: "Are you serious!?" Yes. Arlecchino saved his sister, gave them a home and a family and basically raised them. His opinion is incredibly biased. Plus, he is probably still withholding information and likely doesn't know Arlecchino's full plan/intentions. Also, Arlecchino is someone who Scara and Childe describe as completely insane. She runs an orphanage that turns children into soldiers and kills anyone who is deemed a traitor. She isn't a good person.
watching someone play this trial for the 4-5th time, i realized that after everything has been said and done, Furina's first statement about Lyney lying is actually right in the money lol
Honestly a big issue I have with people, is that they judge travellers reaction towards Lyney/Lynette based on player knowledge. We as a player know that they ARE good people with good intentions, because we as players know that the twins are playable characters. We as player have access to a plethora of lore about the twins from inside and outside the game. Traveller does not. Traveller has met the twins about two days ago and all they knew that they're magicians. That's it. That's all that traveller has to go with. And then people still question how traveller doesn't fully trust the twins after they've admitted into lying about their identity???????
Not to mention Lyney outright says being a magician means you need to know how to work a crown and manipulate attention Lyney being Fatui and having these skills is HIGHLY concerning. The only reason we trust Childe is that not even CHILDE knew the whole plan for Liyue, and Childe had been very straight forward about who he was. We also know the dude is a battle himbo and that is his main motivation for anything. We know how Childe works, he don’t know how the twins do. I don’t think we are ever gonna refuse to help them, we still continued to help defend them, but we will be more cautious around them. (We don’t wanna become enemies of the nation before we can get a chance to speak to the hydro archon after all)
Not only that, but the Traveller has dealt with the Fatui multiple times, and not just the Harbingers. And needless to say, many quests regarding them have the Fatui doing something shady at best. The twins having ties with the House of the Hearth and thus effectively subservient to another Harbinger certainly does not help. Let alone one who the others implied to be especially unhinged. I also had dealing with at least one other franchise where player knowledge can be taken for granted by the fanbase at times, but one should indeed always view things from the POV character's perspective to understand their motives and decisions.
PREACH!!! The traveler does not like the Fatui, most interactions with the Fatui have been negative. And then people bring up the case of how Traveler treats Scara and Childe. Because firstly, they tolerate Scara at most. Isn’t Scara partially responsible for the death of Teppei. The travelers FRIEND. Obviously by then the travelers opinion of the Fatui would be extremely negative. And with Childe,, at least he was clear to us. And hell even he didn’t know the whole plan back in Liyue. And Childe has proven to us he has some good on him, when it comes to his family at the very least. The traveler has known the twins for two days at most,, so who knows if the twins were faking the whole thing. Lyney said himself to be a magician you need to learn how to manipulate the whole crowd, etc. At this point the traveler is tired, the only thing they want to do is find their sibling and get out of here. Besides from in Sumeru, the traveler has not received much helped when it comes to finding his siblings from the archons. And based on dialogue, the traveler doesn’t even seem to like the fame they’ve been receiving for saving the nations they’ve visited so far. Also didn’t Ayaka basically guilt trip the traveler into helping her with the rebellion? So the travelers behavior throughout the story up to this point, is completely understandable. The traveler is not anyone’s Y/N. They are their own character.
People gotta understand the traveler has been betrayed many times by the fatui, the childe crisis in liyue, teppei’s death, and they tried to kill him several times before, the traveler’s mistrust towards lyney is valid About childe, its actually the same as lyney, the traveler can regard them as friends, but that doesn’t mean the traveler completely trust them
I sorta understand how the Traveler feels though, it wasn't even like, that long ago when one of their friends (Teppei, RIP) was straight up killed by the Fatui. Not to mention how Scara and Signora almost killed the Traveler. Bro has ALOT of trauma when it comes to the Fatui, so I see where they stand when it comes to them even though it may seem a bit rude of them to assume all Fatui are bad, they've just had nothing but bad experiences with them.
I watched alot of streamers playing this archon Quest and alot of them assumed that Halsey/Liliane was in the box by the time we were there, which she is not. alot of players missed the fact that she said "I slipped out when the first Garde arrived" She has long gone in the tunnel by the time they started investigation, she's a thief who's skilled enough to hide her presence. Also with the Childe thing. the thing is Childe never hid his identity. he flat out said he's a Harbinger, he even warned us. Lyney and Lynette chose to hide their identites even when they were in trial. Paimon said it "We based our defense in the assumption you weren't bad guys" if they had told us the truth before we started investigating we could have done a different approach in investigating their case.
I feel like im one of the few who actually LOVES Furina and her bratty behaviour. She reminds me of a jester. The drama she adds is over the top and i really love it!!!! She may get annoying but i find her interesting and i look forward to seeing more of her in the quests
I like it. She is annoying, but I like her. I feel she is 100% putting on a front to plead her people despite not knowing what she is doing. She feels the need to fill the previous archon’s shoes, and that pressure makes her act like this. She is a little more complex (and even breaks character) and learns from her mistakes (sometimes) I feel like by the end of the quest we will all love her.
Exactly! Also all the stuff about the profecy, feels like she trying to be some type of ''entertainer''. Anyways, Im waiting to see more deep behind the facade im sure it will change many people mind
imo i think its very fair for the traveler to not completely trust the fatui even after knowing their intentions, after all the twins gained the traveler's trust only for it to be broken since the twins withheld information that they knew was important for the traveler to know so it seems reasonable enough
It's always so interesting how the VAs of different languages portray the character in their own way. For me, Furina's JP make her sound air-headed and childish while Furina's EN make her sound haughty and stuck up. No wonder bwaap is pissed haahahahaah
Honestly I'm not surprised the Traveler didn't trust the twins and I agree with them on that. After being tricked multiple times by the Fatui and caused the problems in other Nations for thier own benefit, in the Traveler was the right to not trust Lyney.
@@SugarHoneyIceTea90i mean, still, Fatui or not, it doesn’t really matter tho. If he didn’t committed the crime, then he is innocent. It makes no sense:)))) if you want to declare someone as guilty, then you need evidence, not just your feeling or emotion, no matter how much you hate that person. Still, on court, the only thing that matter is evidence, and that’s what Furina does not have. Evidence makes judges so that you could press charges on someone, not your feeling. God! I really want this game to be on the Nintendo Switch so I can play it for myself. It looks like it has a lot of charm with the designs of the characters and settings. Also, your commentary on the game were also enough to lure my attention to it, especially the funny parts. Also, it would've been awesome if we got both Aether and Lumine as playable fighters for Smash Ultimate, as well as Mondstadt as a stage. Plus, Paimon would be part of their taunts in that game.
I mean after the scaramouche and dottore incidents, the traveler might have hesitated to trust the fatuus... In real time reaction, in my POV everyone might even react like that or even worst. So i think the traveler is at least have a kind heart for at least still defend lyney and lynette.
Also I JUST noticed this and I'm pretty sure that Hoyoverse did this intentionally,But I noticed that Arle's hair is both white AND black. What's the color you get when you mix them up? GRAY! So in other words Fontaine is gonna be the first nation where I believe we won't choose a side! Cause both sides have their ideals and yet their flaws that you can't help but wonder of who's side you should be TRULY on. Also can't blame the Traveler for not fully trusting Lyney. They hid it from the Traveler about their real identities. Also SO MUCH emotions is probably going through their minds that they can't even think straight!
I think part of the finale was about trust but also the last time their twin talked about protecting their homeland they ended torturing the hilichurls from the Chasm. I don't know it's just found it an interesting mention of specifically homeland.

Ya knoe, it made me think why didn't Lyney and Lynette tried to just find out about the core during their practice instead of waiting it out on the day of their performance? Unless either the vent is locked prior to the performance or the oratrice doesn't operate unless smth is gonna happen at the opera house
My biggest problem with the writing here isn't that the Traveler doesn't trust the Fatui, because god damn he has reasons not to, but that Childe gets a free pass for some reason (I mean, I guess the reason is that he's a playable character, but in-universe? There's no reason at all).
@@stargazer6510 Dood, compare how Lyney and Lynette are being treated vs how Childe is being treated. And keep in mind we have no idea what the twins did except being part of the Fatui, while we know for a fact Childe is a battle crazy attempted mass murderer on top of being one of the leaders of the Fatui.
During the investigation, I wondered where the vent went, why we didn’t check inside the costume box, and when Lilliane confessed to stealing the ticket- where is the real Halsey…? If her ticket were stolen, she could have reported it; they had a customer manifest and assigned seating; verify her identity and reissue a ticket… Why is no one asking for the real Halsey…?
Re-watching this after playing a couple of the Ace Attorney games makes me want a game in that series that has a similar standard of visuals and animations as well as having voice acting (while keeping the charm of the series, of course).
It’s really funny people in comsec hate how Bwaap views Furina like we all have our own opinions chill their just characters in a GAME! Hahahaha a lot of us hated archons at one point let anyone hate on the characters attitude which means that the game is good at peaking our irritation.
Tbh I'm perfectly fine with Traveller not wanting to help others. Honestly I would do the same, like, we are still looking for our sister for so many years, nobody is helping us and we keep getting dragged to each nation's problems like it's our job to solve them. Eventually you will step your foot down. Traveller almost got killed, a LOT of times in fact
I can understand that Traveler just wants to speak to the Archons to gather information about his sister, but I'm surprised he would turn down Navia on such an important case. I can understand if they think they arent up for the job, and as a person you shouldn't be a pushover all the time by accepting everything, but this a serious serial murder case that she's investigating. Considering the trend of the Traveler having to do incredible feats. to get information, I wonder what would happen if he DIDN'T get caught up in either Nation's messes. The people he wants to talk to are ARCHONS, and while its possible to request an audience with them, most of them aren't keen on sharing their what they know even if its a little. I even doubt they would have revealed their identity to him if that was the case. Say Inazuma for example, did the Traveler just think he could walk up, knock on Raidon Shogun's door and then start asking her questions with little to no resistance? Even though such "rules" don't always apply to the Traveler (since they aren't from Teyvat) such questions seem like they SHOULD be earned. This isn't a rant, but more of an observation I'm noticing about the Traveler. I'm sure they care about the world, but not enough to become a hero. They are kind-hearted, but set boundaries. Which is good but like I mentioned, when it comes to serious things like Inazuma's situation or the disappearance case I'm surprised the Traveler suddenly decides to say no to those things. Perhaps we underestimate how much the Traveler is determined to find their sibling then leave Teyvat when its time; but circumstances in each nation just keeps them held back. Though I doubt they'd make any progress at all without all those twists and turns. But as Yae Miko said before, it seems like such a simple goal, finding the lost sibling, and that they should probably look out into the horizon to find a new goal. I think its been forgotten about, but I wonder when the Traveler will finally see a new main goal to work towards.
I actually like how hesitant the Traveler is becoming on being involved with other people's affairs. Because of their reputation, for some reason these people in Teyvat just see them as some sort of a problem solver. But we get reminded that he is literally just here to reunite with his sibling lol
They kinda have been doing this since Inazuma, and it’s probably because they don’t wish to get caught up in other peoples messes, in Inazuma despite the wait we go to Inazuma RIGHT AFTER we find out our sibling is in the abyss, so of course he doesn’t want to help, because wanna know what they are asking? Abolish the vision hunt decree, thus making HIM an enemy if he is trying to stop something the shogun has set up (Also Ayaka never fulfilled her promise, the traveler did it by himself AGAIN) In Sumeru, he recognized Alhaitham was from the Akedemia, so they helped him in hopes of getting information, though we were unable to, and as for saving the nation the traveler had no choice, they had no choice to be caught up in the samsara, and their whole reason for going to Sumeru is to meet the Dendro archon who was trapped, so they needed to save her, and in the end it worked out, I think this is the first time the traveler actually acknowledged they did something good and seemed to feel good about it, AND in the end they got information on their sibling…though it definitely raised more questions then answers…. In Fontaine all one needs to do is arrange an appointment, so there’s that, but they were also indebted to Lyney and Lynette, and the archon also seemed to put them in the spot, clearly wanting to be one of the ones to beat the traveler (though we beat her), we already made a strong impression that we are not one to be trivialed with, and she personally greeted us. The traveler had no reason to help Navia, but only helped after they realised they were now targets, in short they have been like this since Inazuma, and it was then where the traveler had a hard time trusting anyone
When we found our sister in 1.4 we were ready to literally up and leave right then and there, in fact, we even said it in front of Paimon. We care about Teyvat, but we care more about our sibling. We were literally ready to just abandon Paimon at the scene.
People need to understand that the Traveller just "represents" us as a main character in Genshin Impact. Not "being" us. We may know Lyney and Lynette as cute, rizzy and friendly people cuz we the players. And OBVIOUSLY the Traveller doesnt. 😂😂 So the Traveller who has had enemies of Fatui in every nation (even caused the death of one) did the right thing of not trusting Lyney. Even if Lyney and Lynette have a good heart, one thing doesnt change. They are still pawns that is being used by the bigger wolf. i honestly felt your hate for furina because the more spoke she more, the more annoyed i got. it doesn't help that she's ACTUALLY very charismatic and smart to pull off those conclusions. she isn't one to be trifled with alright, but she just FUCKING gets on your nerves. in times like this, it makes me miss sweet, kind, and gentle nahida. lyney and lynette's story...oof. that was too dark for my liking. it's so heartbreaking that their story can happen in real life and there's no escaping these evil people who would gladly exploit children for their own selfish gain. the knave, however, is a scary opponent for using that time to jump in and ""save"" them. however you see it, childe and wanderer mentioned just how dangerous she actually is and is a wolf in sheep's clothing. damn is she cool, though.
Yeah, I agree with Furina, but I like her because this whole thing is 100% a front she puts on to feign confidence. In reality is is probably scared out of her mind due to the prophecy and not being able to understand what the last hydro archon left her. I am excited to see how she goes. I’m also excited to see how we and the twins work together after all that.

There is something called the "frequency illusion" aka "baader-meinhof phenomenon. That might explain why you feel that someone is a good person while another is the villain of the show. It is why I managed to identify something wrong with our Archon and how I figured out if Lyney and Lynette are good or bad in terms of attention. It didn't allow me to figure out that they were harbingers however, this may be a natural result of the frequency illusion, as I have not seen enough people acting like Harbingers and there is no such thing irl. There are however bad and good guys, but movies and games tend to make this very obvious

ALSO, spoiler for the current story quest in Fontaine:
When Childe is starting to transform into his foul legacy traveler does not stop him, Neuvilette does.
@@Naynintraveller not stopping Childes magical girl transformation can easily be explained as "Deer in headlights" moment.

Childe has been mostly straight forward with us (minus his scheme in Liyue, but he also wasn’t in on all of it.) Lyney has been truthful, but only after the damage has been done. If Lyney told us himself, I think we would have reacted differently than if we had found out mid trial.
@@GrandProtectorDark True, but that wasn't my only point and I'm not quite sure if traveler would actually hesitate like that. Who knows.

Would they have said it in the future? Maybe. But logically speaking the twins did nothing wrong, they weren't obligated to say anything. Childe on the other hand actively went against the traveler, no matter how honest he might've been. He tried drowning a nation to chase out the Archon.

Well Traveler being suspicious is not unfounded: Childe went full city murder mode in Liyue and tried to kill an entire city, Signora went behind Childe's back, Signora and Scara fanned the war and supplied delusions to cripple a nation (also misleading the Archon), learn that Dotore did (and probably does) pretty evil experiments and uses Scara as guiny pig (also messing Scara up BAD just for another experiment), in the desert the Dotore fanboy kidnaps people for his experiments for "sempai's approval" including Jeht, Arlecino herself trains her soldiers to be ruthless and her subordinates tried to restart war in Inazuma and house of Hearth operatives using children as bait to capture Aranara
The only good Fatui we meet are the people in Chasm (and we even read how Fatui actually helped there), last year Golden Arcipellago Fatui group, that one hydrogunner during Ganyu quest (more like innocent but still) and the people in sumeru trying to FLEE the house of Hearth (more in the line of not wanting to stay there, not many evidence of them doing good or bad) and current Gendou Ringo (the fortune slipper not the ninja)
The Fatui is like a hydra, one head does not know what the other is doing, so the reason for distrust is there, even if Lyney is trusted since he could be only a pawn.

Gosh..I'm so sorry you went through all that Arisa.
Well to be fair bwaap, so far the Fatui name has come in:
- Kicking venti in the balls and outright stealing a gnosis.
(Sealing nahida is an academiya fault)
And maybe a couple of minor ones i forgot, point is, traveler is in his/her right to not trust the organization as a whole.
Which just pisses me off. Like you liking the character doesn't make their war crimes don't go away.
Plus the literal experimentation on people infected with Eleazar in Sumeru (As seen with Collei and the quests/objectives in Dar al-Shifa )

The trial was just an act they put up to be declared innocent
Yeah... About the twins' involvement with the Fatui. I hate to say it, but a lie of omission is still a lie at the end of the day.

Yes. Arlecchino saved his sister, gave them a home and a family and basically raised them. His opinion is incredibly biased. Plus, he is probably still withholding information and likely doesn't know Arlecchino's full plan/intentions.

watching someone play this trial for the 4-5th time, i realized that after everything has been said and done, Furina's first statement about Lyney lying is actually right in the money lol
Yess finally someone said this
Also traveller has alot of beef with the fatui (idk how suddenly we became friends with childe since traveller has always been cautious of him)
People gotta understand the traveler has been betrayed many times by the fatui, the childe crisis in liyue, teppei’s death, and they tried to kill him several times before, the traveler’s mistrust towards lyney is valid
About childe, its actually the same as lyney, the traveler can regard them as friends, but that doesn’t mean the traveler completely trust them

Like what I said, your identity does not matter, the only thing that could speak here is evidence. Human can lie, but evidence can’t:)))
Ps: just to be clear, I’m not a fan of either Lyney, Lynette or Arlecchino, I’m completely neutral, I stand my point, so don’t say that I’m defending them or something:))) I only speak according to what I know, what I see and how things should work:)))
@@han4840plus it’s just a game bwaap just didn’t like Furina’s arrogant attitude of how she views court as some kind of joke lol. This is the theme of Fontaine the archon sees the courthouse as a circus but deep inside she’s a scaredy cat who’s not even capable of fighting she just uses court to look wise when it’s the other way around
@@antukinann1070 yeah, I mean you can say she’s a like an empathetic kid with lonely childhood, wants to make herself looks cool. But well, her acting like a child wasn’t the problem, but her acting like a child on COURT which only a false charge could push someone to jail was a problem. Cause it also affect someone else’s future but I think she didn’t realize that, was too busy making herself looks cool so she didn’t think properly which annoys me. I don’t hate her, I just hated how “her show” pulls people into trouble. I like her voice, I like her appearance, I like everything of her. But not now, I hated her for not using her brain, I will still like her if Mihoyo make it up for all that happen, then yes, I will love her once again, but it’s not happening yet so I’ll wait till Mihoyo let her use her brain:))))

A great video to watch while I fold laundry. I love this Fontaine story and omg this was only Act I. Gotta wait for Act 2 aaaaaaaaaaaaagh
Yeah, when we met Childe it was way before any of that so the traveler had no clue as to how messed up they were
isn't the traveler best buddies with Childe now though?
@@amberxv4777 yea i think traveler still has good side
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought the oratrice’s animation was yanked from honkai star rail
Also SO MUCH emotions is probably going through their minds that they can't even think straight!
i really like the new mechanic gameplay here with detective and investigation thing.
Bwaap: On god he didn’t do it
Furina: I AM THE GOD
I think part of the finale was about trust but also the last time their twin talked about protecting their homeland they ended torturing the hilichurls from the Chasm. I don't know it's just found it an interesting mention of specifically homeland.
We need more Saul Goodman Paimon
Bwaap... Lying by ommision is lying...
I freaking loved Navia in this quest. My personal favorite Fontaine character
11:59 THE ANGRY CAT GIF CAUGHT ME OFF GAURD! 😂😂😂 SO CUTE LOL
I completely understand how the traveler felt.
same yet the ppl on tiktok be putting themslves (who, btw, pretty much KNOW that lyney was a good guy) in the travellers position and forgiving lyney. saying that the traveller was overreacting even tho they've known them for 3 days, and has seen so many tragedies the fatui have done and has seen so many people killed bcs of them
Everytime Furina is onscreen, I want to throw her at the closest window
Edit: after the Archon Quest, now I want to bring her to a gun range and introduce her to literally everything else other than acting
Yeet the sassy lost child
this is some danganronpa and ace attorney shit and im here for it
I don't remember bwaap being this so worked up
Why hasn't there been single lawyer in the three trials we witnessed 😭
Ikr. For a land of justice and trials, there are hardly any lawyers, and in Liyue we know one, and Inazuma we know one (Yanfei and Kuki)
0:23 my bro is self-aware
Idc what type of lore furina might have. First impressions always decided how much i like a chracter for atleast a year.💀
i think everyone can agree that navia crying infront of neuvilette was heartbreaking :(
That scene had me speechless. I think it should've been an actual cutscene so it can hit harder, but God damn. That scene was so sad it was great.
Yeah but its on act 2, this video is act 1
@@udavol5 and?
@@Leif776 And it spoils for those who haven't seen Act 2. I'm sure he's already played through it by now, but imagine if bwaap hadn't and read the comments? Spoiling not just regular viewers, but the creator themselves (on their own comment section, no less), is a tremendously dick move.
@@Leif776 it didnt happen in the story shown in the video,
Ya knoe, it made me think why didn't Lyney and Lynette tried to just find out about the core during their practice instead of waiting it out on the day of their performance? Unless either the vent is locked prior to the performance or the oratrice doesn't operate unless smth is gonna happen at the opera house

That's why I hate them, Bwaap. That's why they are my enemies. That's why they're not to be trusted.......... they're Fatui!!!!
Uhh....
Aha?
My biggest problem with the writing here isn't that the Traveler doesn't trust the Fatui, because god damn he has reasons not to, but that Childe gets a free pass for some reason (I mean, I guess the reason is that he's a playable character, but in-universe? There's no reason at all).
Childe never gets a free pass. We literally never trusted his ass.
Childe has earned some of travellers trust.
If her ticket were stolen, she could have reported it; they had a customer manifest and assigned seating; verify her identity and reissue a ticket…
Why is no one asking for the real Halsey…?
Im literally one of the biggest Lyney simps and I physically got mad when the traveler left him
After 1 year of quitting genshin you make me want to play again just like inazuma 😢
his videos made me play it again after a long break. I started back again when sumeru came out.
the fact that traveler actually has voice lines this time-
Re-watching this after playing a couple of the Ace Attorney games makes me want a game in that series that has a similar standard of visuals and animations as well as having voice acting (while keeping the charm of the series, of course).
Watching Bwaap lose his cool because he hated Furina that much was so fun and entertainment.
the paimon and the traveler should be lawyers. :DDD
It’s really funny people in comsec hate how Bwaap views Furina like we all have our own opinions chill their just characters in a GAME! Hahahaha a lot of us hated archons at one point let anyone hate on the characters attitude which means that the game is good at peaking our irritation.
Bwaap is so me when it comes to Furina hahahaha
Damn Fontaine got dark as hell really frickin quick. Gyatt
I mean, remembering that world quest back in sumeru i understand why aether doesnt trust lyney
Abolish the vision hunt decree, thus making HIM an enemy if he is trying to stop something the shogun has set up (Also Ayaka never fulfilled her promise, the traveler did it by himself AGAIN)
In Sumeru, he recognized Alhaitham was from the Akedemia, so they helped him in hopes of getting information, though we were unable to, and as for saving the nation the traveler had no choice, they had no choice to be caught up in the samsara, and their whole reason for going to Sumeru is to meet the Dendro archon who was trapped, so they needed to save her, and in the end it worked out, I think this is the first time the traveler actually acknowledged they did something good and seemed to feel good about it, AND in the end they got information on their sibling…though it definitely raised more questions then answers….
Huh .. you got you're words with ya bro. Really liked what you pointed there..
And imagine being used and played by the palms of an organization you have been fimiliar with several times. Wouldnt it make anyone mad? Traveller did well handling the situation. He wasnt cruel and still sided with Lyney's case. He was neutral.
As an Ace Attorney fan, this whole trial thing gives the same vibe and I loved it
And since the “victim is killer” trope is also in Turnabout Samurai which makes this case very easy lol
I wonder how Phoenix Wright would react to Furina in court
43:53 Ooooh I have seen this in crime dramas.

bwaap being a furina hater gives me life
i honestly felt your hate for furina because the more spoke she more, the more annoyed i got. it doesn't help that she's ACTUALLY very charismatic and smart to pull off those conclusions. she isn't one to be trifled with alright, but she just FUCKING gets on your nerves. in times like this, it makes me miss sweet, kind, and gentle nahida.
lyney and lynette's story...oof. that was too dark for my liking. it's so heartbreaking that their story can happen in real life and there's no escaping these evil people who would gladly exploit children for their own selfish gain. the knave, however, is a scary opponent for using that time to jump in and ""save"" them. however you see it, childe and wanderer mentioned just how dangerous she actually is and is a wolf in sheep's clothing. damn is she cool, though.
@@Glaycieryes! it’s refreshing to have this kind of character though, ESPECIALLY for an archon/leader of a nation. as much as i hate her, seeing her inner monologue compensated for it.
