the trick is to buy 9'S and resend for the possibility of getting a 10....I've sent maybe like 150 9 psa slabs and so far I've gotten like 100 10's back
Maybe it’s a dumb question but do you crack em out the slabs? I’ve recently been hoarding psa 9 paldea magikarps and was considering sending them back in
@Mannyshevitz yes ! Absolutely crack and resend, man! I feel like if you ask to regrade the 9 slab, they take it in offense, lol. like if you were questioning "their professional opinion." I've submitted grade 9 slabs for regrading nd never had a good turnaround.
What about the cost to acquire the cards in the first place before grading? Isn't that then much more than the $400? How can this be a sustainable side hustle?
Thanks, that was interesting. I just got my first submission back from GameStop. I sent in 2 Micheal Jordan's from the 90's. One I knew would not grade well as you could see some ruff edges. I wanted a reference. It graded 6. The other graded 10. Was offered $130. More than I thought they would but less than 1/2 of what it is selling for on eBay. The quick easy offer is usually the lowest.
Although if your able to tell the centering then most of the time its an easy 10. Alot of these i called a 9 because you can see there either border heavy on the top with the snorlaxes or like the pickachu it was border heavy on the right side
When I graded my first card at GameStop (been almost 2 weeks ago), it was a flat fee of $15.99 to grade my Pokémon card. (Since you mentioned tax might be added, I wonder if it’s already included.) Plus, there was no shipping fee since I’m a GameStop Pro member.
What is the pricing per card for GameStop to send them for grade? Did you use GameStop or go elsewhere where? I’m a pro member and have a small mountain growing of stuff I want to get graded, just never found the time to submit them.
@stevenvg3646 we have a membership with PSA, so if you send 20+, you get about $12/card Using gamestop $16/card, but they have value of.card stipulations
Super cool, I wondered how the gamestop grading went down. Has anyone heard what actual percentage they charge should your cards come back higher than anticipated?
Not sure, but it is PSA that charges the upcharge. GameStop just collects it. You can find a chart on the PSA website for the next tier of grading charges.
@@FamRipsPokemon yeah I was pretty shocked, considering the PSA upcharge for expensive cards is like $15 or something, and getting charged 4x that amount. The workers didn’t seem to know how much the up charge would end up being when I submitted the cards for grading back in October.
I love trainer galleries so much, just started collecting but im hoping to get a bunch of trainer galleries not sure if I want cgc or psa because I do like the black label but psa is just more known
I got $550 for my special delivery bidoof was so happy they actually increased the payout however the pre paid cards are a bit of a hassle but I hope they keep these decent payouts I think there amazing the service and buy back I'd give a hundred stars 😊
That's awesome!! I agree the prepaid is a drag, but so is getting robbed outside the store for all the cash they would have given you. Last time, he said they can also venmo but untested 😆
25 cards $16/card 25×16=$400 to those of us that passed 3rd grade math. It also pops up TOTAL SPENT $400 at the beginning. We didn't pay gamestop cause their fee is too high. Members get $11/card. Do you wanna correct your statement or just run and hide like a little Beta male 😉
Am I seeing that for cards graded 9 the value is the $15 you paid for grading? (or even less) Wish I could find that store to buy cards from. I'm seeing here that the 9s are just off centered slightly. Then at the end when you found that the grading made your trade in $50 more than the cost of grading you did not consider the thousand dollars spent to find these cards in the first place! This hobby is not for the faint at heart or tight budget collector! Thanks, seeing all these beautiful cards was well worth the watch.
@toycarcollector oh haha the amount opened to get them is crazy. But if you had an average Alt Art off center and traded for a bunch of these you could do some damage 😆
Well a profits a profit but shipping and packaging taxes and your time and efforts Gad all factors in the end you rescued some cards tho may be in the future they will go up but there good cards for whatnot games shows

the grading is like 400 with shipping alone tho

That's a lot of legwork and up front cost for 55$. Have you considered cutting lawns on the side?

Was these graded with gamestop or thru your psa account?
These we used our account. Psa is taking forever recently.

grading is such a gamble, almost worst than opening card packs considering a 9 and a 10 are so close together
Super cool, I wondered how the gamestop grading went down. Has anyone heard what actual percentage they charge should your cards come back higher than anticipated?
From what I'm told, the next bump $200 to $500 value is $22 but could be different.

You can make some money this way, but not a legit side hussle. You can loose a lot of money.
@@ralphreed597 facts
@ralphreed597 Now, we didn't pay $16. we did a bulk order, so our cost/slab was $5 less/slab.
The gamestop comparison was for their $16/card price.
To be honest idk why you sent in those trainer gallery cards I wouldn't send anything in unless it's worth over a 100 in a raw card form
It was for the video. That was the whole point
God i hope you subbed up and the moron who commented what you replied to didn't 😆
Thanks for watching and "understanding the point lol"
People collect the entire set in PSA slabs. Would be impossible to do if all the cards not submitted
First one in
Second ❤
