the pike-twist toss was so great! and i love the tic-toc and the rewinds too! very very clean!! I LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE. btw, i just saw this earlier this morning at ESPN. - fan from the Philippines!!
This makes me proud to be a UK fan[: too bad they dont have a good basketball team to cheer for like they used to!! ]:. hopefully with calipari we'll get our talent back[:
I think that since the top flyer was held in place for several seconds (was still in place when the music stopped) and since it was caused by celebration, it didn't count as a mistake.
excellent display of power and control they made it seem so effortless. but still looking forward to see more transitional lifts to pyramids but not circus stuffs big ups to you guys!
@yuthgi this is not an All Star squad of people they pulled in off the street. These kids tryout, work hard and dedicate themselves to being the best. Everyone of them will be on the sidelines this Saturday when the football team plays Louisville. And to those of you who don't like the "run," what are they supposed to do, WALK? It looks neat and orderly. It keeps them in rhythm. If it was so bad, they wouldn't be 19-time National champs.
for people saying they're boring obviously no nothing about competitive cheering...the difficulty level cannot be matched..they take cheering to a whole other level...other teams follow their lead
you have to make the team first and then you have to pay for your share of team expenses. Same with highschool - some of the competitive teams you have to make it and then you have to cover your portion as well. Plus not all collegiate athletes - well speaking of spirit squads are funded by athletics so you have to pay/fundraise everything you do
@raclip02 I'm curious how you came to the conclusion that having 1/2 a team do backhandsprings-to full (most difficult tumbling pass) like HPU did in 09 was better than having the ENTIRE team do them like UK does at :15? LOL. Your statement about roundoff-backhandspring-full would be correct were it not for the fact that UK starts their routine off with a far more difficult sequence and is the only squad that does it as an ENTIRE team.
hey guys Im a 17 years old guy from Cyprus and im willing to study in the USA. Im a really goos student and want to exploit my learning skills to a high ranked university like this. I wonder if there are any exams I have to pass in order to be accepted by this university and receive lower annual tuitions plus scholarships,,, Id appreciate any response to my comment
cheergurl1017 you could not be more wrong about Cheerleaders not needing to CHEER anymore, especially at Kentucky. Almost the first thing that the potential cheerleaders are told at tryouts is: "Your first job at UK is to lead cheers at football, basketball and volleyball games. That's your job!" Every single one of those guys and girls, EVERY ONE OF THEM cheers at games. They learn cheers, they do a dance at tryouts, they learn the fight song and the motions to it.
@x3allieexo with others such as all the other companies primarily serving all-stars. Kentucky is quite flawless and dominant in their league but all-star is giving all forms of cheerleading one more step into NCAA recognition as the college comp squads started the move toward a uniform score card coming from USA cheer to encompass all styles of cheer. unless the movement becomes large enough to draw from the NCA/UCA division or gains sponsorship from Jeff Webb cheerleading growth will be slowed
@x3allieexo that's the point, thats the evolution of cheerleading as a sport. Cheerleading as a spirit squad (college spirit teams and high school) doesn't stand much of a chance at becoming an NCAA recognized sport as it doesn't meet Title IX requirements and is too disorganized.. Their are attempts at recognizing competition only teams that have started to develop as NCAA sports but that won't happen till everyone competes under one score sheet...right now the main division is NCA and UCA ....
@turnermanxi @turnermanxi All Stars tumble on a spring floor, Colleges do not at Nationals. Some of the tumbling done by All Star teams wouldn't hit on a flat floor.
i think i would much rather see flyers with ok flexibility with such great body control and tumbling skills than those flyers you see everywhere else where they wobble like crazy and their double downs look like they are diving to the mat.
I 100% agree with both statements. I hate teams who smear glitter and makeup all over. It looks trashy. And nothings worse when when you're stunting and you get your flyers glitter in your eyes!
You don't think UK can be beat? Trust me, they can. They have. They will again. I still believe they are absolutely perrrenially the best college team in the country. But lets not be silly...
17 national championships and they are "low energy" and "cut and paste"? Apparently someone didn't make the UK squad and holds a grudge haha. Also, it's "their" when you are speaking of people, not "there".
1) It's "they're" not "there. 2) Boring? UK may not smear makeup and sparkles all over their faces and they may not wear uniforms that look like they belong in the strip club, but the stunts/tumbling they do are the best in the country hands down. If UK is boring then exciting squads don't exist.
the pike-twist toss was so great! and i love the tic-toc and the rewinds too! very very clean!! I LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE. btw, i just saw this earlier this morning at ESPN.
- fan from the Philippines!!
Kentucky ROCKS! Love their stunts and transitions :D

This makes me proud to be a UK fan[: too bad they dont have a good basketball team to cheer for like they used to!! ]:. hopefully with calipari we'll get our talent back[:
they are very good and really in synch
Speakless! that was truely amazing!
Okg it makes me so proud to b from the cheer nation nd i seen them perform in person:)
AMAZING straight up.
I think that since the top flyer was held in place for several seconds (was still in place when the music stopped) and since it was caused by celebration, it didn't count as a mistake.
amazing.
how could you dislike this?!
excellent display of power and control they made it seem so effortless. but still looking forward to see more transitional lifts to pyramids but not circus stuffs big ups to you guys!
LOVE THEM!
WOW!!! Amazing
Awesome!!
I've always liked this team bvz I love it how they run and then they stomp and punch their arms by their sides!

1st place i bet!!!! they wer awesome, amazing!!! whooohooo!
for people saying they're boring obviously no nothing about competitive cheering...the difficulty level cannot be matched..they take cheering to a whole other level...other teams follow their lead
@raclip02 Usually the college that you're interested in has a website and a section dedicated towards international students....Hope that helped
wow amazing single leg.....
great routine
Am sure their program is best in the nation as compared with other universities.
you have to make the team first and then you have to pay for your share of team expenses. good... i like it...
cool. cheers are cool stunts!
loved the routine , but what's up with the transitions ?!
They rock! :D
@raclip02

was a mistake at the last pyramid?

what do you call that basket toss on 1:24 and 2:13?
was a girl named becca scott on this squad? and if so, where is she on here?

hahaha i love at the end when the girl says "does that count?"
UCF is usually a little more creative, but not as difficult. When UCF can do the difficulty that UK does, they might win!
@x3allieexo that's the point, thats the evolution of cheerleading as a sport.

Dude - Cheer athletics open allstar team in the early 2000's did some crazy baskets, pyramids, stunts and tumbling - what are you talking about......
@turnermanxi @turnermanxi All Stars tumble on a spring floor, Colleges do not at Nationals. Some of the tumbling done by All Star teams wouldn't hit on a flat floor.
except like one, but yeah they are the best!
YAH GO ALI!!!!!!!!
What is with the transitions?!?!?! xD
i think i would much rather see flyers with ok flexibility with such great body control and tumbling skills than those flyers you see everywhere else where they wobble like crazy and their double downs look like they are diving to the mat.
andbody ever hear of father judge cheerleading? they are second in the nation (: my friends are on that teaamm
Don't need to kill to be on the squad, just work your butt off and stay small...:)
i don't see it
cool :)
dont they ALWAYS win?
Because they are beatable. That's why.
nice tick tock
soooo weird to see such a high level amazing team running with butt kickers.
I 100% agree with both statements. I hate teams who smear glitter and makeup all over. It looks trashy. And nothings worse when when you're stunting and you get your flyers glitter in your eyes!

flexibility needs work in the heal stretches but otherwise beautiful!
17 national championships and they are "low energy" and "cut and paste"? Apparently someone didn't make the UK squad and holds a grudge haha.
Also, it's "their" when you are speaking of people, not "there".
i like 1:23 to 1:26!
They compete in the SAME division brainiac. Different competitions.
And Cheerleading was voted not a sport?!?!? WTFrog?!?!?
WHY do they run like that?! lol
UFC is more beuatiful than this... but UK deserves to be the champion...
C A T S CATS CATS CATS
Exactly, Kentucky is the best, and All Stars don't cheer, which is stupid, because it's cheerleading, duh.
1) It's "they're" not "there.
2) Boring? UK may not smear makeup and sparkles all over their faces and they may not wear uniforms that look like they belong in the strip club, but the stunts/tumbling they do are the best in the country hands down. If UK is boring then exciting squads don't exist.
I like you great ... but tired your style
