Really appreciate the alternating invasion/duel format you're trying out. A lot more enjoyable than the all duels then all invasions setup from before, imo
we dont know what rank chase is but, nethertheless its great seeing him square off against people who actually want to fight and are sorta prepared, keep it up!
@@derdiedaswasndasHe seems to be at the lowest rank, but it doesn't matter because you can get matched with pretty much every rank. Also, being a Golden Combatant doesn't even matter that much. If you play a lot, you will get it eventually.

@@bootstrap925 100% cause Elden Ring has become very mainstream. Its why there were so many complaints about Elden Rings difficulty at launch and DLC when in reality Elden Ring gives you an abundance of tools to make the game a cake walk.

As soon as he removed the restriction that he could only level up from pvp, he immediately started using all his levels on his video making stat, loving how informative you are in your intros, and alternating between invasions and duels is really nice to watch

10:19 It was indeed an incantation, giant golden arc irrc. He was using a new DLC staff that lets you cast both sorcery and incantations.

Stamp uppercut (sweep needs a buff/fix) is my favorite on it. The stamp bit just defaults to the poke
I love the great katana class so much. I really enjoyed the duels mixed in with the invasions! more duel content please!!!! Your commentary during a 1v1 especially is very useful. I have learned so much from watching you in general, and the play by plays are a big part of what I come for. I enjoy the 1v1 aspect of dueling far more than the chaos of invasions.
It would be cool to see, with the new staff that can cast both sorceries and incantations, if there is any sorcery/incantation true combo or roll catch that works well. Hard to optimize the talismans, but the point is the fun and potential versatility.
It’s best used as a spellblade IMO.
Have a strong weapon and a bunch of confusing spells that force rolls and dodges.
I agree that it’s not really best to gear for damage.
I like glintblades, flame of the fell god, zamor ice storm, crucible horns, flame serpent and multilayered rings. Ancient Death Rancor too if I want to be really annoying.
Apparently catch flame has some weird interactions with other spells atn

I have really grown to hate dueling against these. The range on the running attack especially is just absurd. Happy to see some arena content!
Pokes are easily jumped, you can also always counter with an ash of your own or simply parry.
I notice the extra range and early hits. But i do expect dlc items to be at a promotional stage.
I actually really hate it's rolling attack the most. For some reason every time I think I have time to punish his bad roll and end up stabbed. Rakshasa is the worst tho, as it also hyperarmors through my hit and then roll catches with ash...
If you're getting hit by the crouch attacks start treating it like a pre-nerf colossal sword. Jump over the attack to punish it.

For the weapon showcases, seeing it in duels is nice. Invasions are often more of a showcase of your ability to dodge and survive near endless caster ganks than of the weapon iteself. :)

Y'know it's been since the DS3 PvP days that I've watched ChaseTheBro, but he's still as immaculate at PvP combat as I remember, even in a different game. No one is quite as accurate at assessing threats, spacing attacks, baiting, mind gaming, and staying calm as he is. Absolute unit if ever there was one.

Its nice to see you in the arena again facing opponents that are genuinely strong all on their own. Dont get me wrong I love invasions and I think the 2:2 invasion:arena setup works well, but there's something so entertaining about seeing you find an arena player that gets you excited

the casting tool in the duel around 10 mins was the staff of the great beyond. its the only hybrid catalyst in the game, the dude was casting the giant golden arc incantation
Been watching since the DLC came out and it's drastically improved my PvP strategies. You should do a beast claws video with the ragin beast AoW! The ability to attack from multiple angles and threaten with a follow up is pretty fun!
No joke my fav weapon in the whole dlc! So fun, not ashes to that can be used on it, amazing mix ups, hits hard and I have just no complaints! It’s also super strong on my 80 dex level 200 character! Amazing showcase btw!

I love repeating thrust on a cold claymore with rotten wing, spear talisman, shard of Alexander, and axe talisman. It does INSANE damage on whiff punishes and sets up for a roll catch well enough
But the axe talisman wouldn't affect the ash tho, right?
player at @10:00 was using the dual-casting catalyst to do the incantation
I'm personally not too big on playing PVP, so maybe my opinion doesn'T hold a lot of weight on this, but I think a good mix of duels and invasions is nice because it shows two different scenarios and how the weapons and builds perform in it. One is the invasions, where you are put in a 1v2/1v3 scenario, and can show off the weapons strengths and weaknesses in that, and the other is a duel, where you go against someone with a most likely PVP focused and optimized build, and show off how well it handles enemies that are prepared for PVP scenarios.

i love this weapon dawg, its the first weapon i used to beat every boss with it, i used to change to other weapons with bosses like malenia or plasi, but with the GK it was so satisfying against every boss

I really like invasions, but the duels were a great breath of fresh air! Seeing you go against people who sorta know what they’re getting into is really interesting.
