Just imagine seeing a plane passing by, You're like: "Oh a plane, Thats cool!" And then hundreds of cannon balls just start raining down on everything...
According to all known laws of aviation the (RC’s Cannon Powered Plane) should not be able to fly. It’s little wings are much to small for its large body. The (RC’s Cannon Powered Plane) of course, flies anyways as it doesn’t care what humans think.
Today i learned that "pretty consistent" can mean anything from less consistent than my grades to more consistent than air crash investigation blaming the pilot.
Those torches setting off the cannons remind me of a steam engine I built. Two water cannons pushing a block between them back and forth, which is atttached to a flywheel, which moves a single torch above the cannons. Worked quite well, but this was before you could move and rotate parts. You can probably do it a lot better now.
The most amazing thing is that he makes these things in besiege, do you know how hard it is to make functional mechanisms in besiege? I couldnt even make a wishbone effect in it, let alone an entire engine
Have you ever considered trying the game "from the depths"? It's a ship building simulator/rts with an amount of depth that I think you'd like from an engineering perspective
I’m getting my pilots license and the plane turning to the left while it’s flying happens on real planes as well. If you have the engine at full power the blades on the right side of the plane make more lift than the blades on the left and it cause the plane to turn that direction you use more right rudder to correct for it.

imagine society collapses but games still work, so we use their logic to recreate today's technology. you'd definitely be one of the higher up inventors
Some planes are designed with an offset tail fin to counteract engine torque. If you can finely rotate the fins, that would probably solve torque problems easily.
I was just playing Besiege and I remembered a machine that I think you might like to make. It's something called a mousetrap car. Basically you have a spring pulling a big lever (in real life this is a modified mousetrap) that drives a wheel and axle system using a string to power a small car. This was originally just a challenge for myself, but I thought that you might be interested. There's videos and schematics of the real models to look at as well if you decide to take on the challenge too.
Another thing working against you here is that the cannons firing at separate times causes recoil going in different directions. Major problem for stability

It'd be cool to make a gun that shoots cannonballs at a very fast rate of fire by shooting cannons into a wall, collecting the projectiles and then shooting them with flywheels.
the spinning bit that was turning it to the left, couldnt one find a way to remodel it so rather than going from left to right, it was instead going front to back, down the length of the plane? That way the motion of it wouldnt lean it to any one side. It would make the plane a good lot longer though
A plane that uses upside v8 engines driven by cannons so that the engine is constantly raining cannon balls down from the sky and you can decimate buildings just by flying over them...
You really should look exploded-view of a real engine or animation how one works.. More support bearings for crankshaft, 90degree angles to cranks relative to eachother. For balanced engine that wont twist your creation, go for 6 cylinder with correct crank angles, with supportbearings between every crank
@@u238productions it sounds like background music? the volume of it is so low i can't hear it over his voice, have you tried checking the ksp original sound track? i found a couple that i think have similar motifs but i can't tell because in order to have the music loud enough to hear his voice is deafening

A spinning wheel at a constant speed does not require any torque. To counter propellor torque, you need a counter rotating propellor.

Yaw controls don’t need a new control plane, use the existing flas and push one up and one down, the plane will twist.

For balanced engine that wont twist your creation, go for 6 cylinder with correct crank angles, with supportbearings between every crank
Use shorter cranks for a faster spinning engine
in real life planes have one wing a bit bigger to counteract the torque without having something spin in the opposite direction
