Riku tries to comfort Kairi, like the big brother that he is. An animatic in which I attempt to make up for the lack of RIku and Kairi interactions in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Me too cause they seem to be on good terms after Kingdom Hearts 1 when Riku was a bad guy at the time.
@@wave201988 This is especially evident in Kingdom Hearts 2 when Kairi reveals to Sora that it's Riku behind the mask he was wearing as Xehanort's Heartless, and even when she takes off his hood and sees that he's in that form, she still takes it in stride and is happy to see him.

god PLEASE. i Need some kind of riku and kairi interaction in canon. this feels really in character, i just wish KH would actually give us something like this. if Kairi doesn’t get character development or even just real human emotion in the next game i’m gunna riot

This is exactly what I thought should happen, that they would acknowledge that Kairi was still too new to help in the keyblade War and that she wanted to have a chance to get stronger and save Sora.
If we don't get DLC with Riku and Kairi partnering up to go find Sora, then I don't know what to expect next.
I mean, I played a Sora for the whole game, let me at least play a little more of Riku and with Kiri for the DLC!!!

Yes! This what I wanted to see in KH3's cutscenes. This I wanted to see from Kairi, interaction and more depth in her character. Love it when when you portrayed her frustation and insecurities, but as well her determination and stubborness to become stronger. Her character deserve it better. Love your art, kudos! 💙🗝

I would actually love to see something like this in the beginning of kh4 or some kh title, where Riki and Kairi are playable characters and the purpose of the game is to get sora back, so the ending of kh3 (unfortunate to say) would be worth it, because it could actually build up a personality for kairi in the next games.

Anybody else realise the irony of the fact, that originally these 3 kids wanted to get off the islands and see the world, but from the moment they got to do that, they spend the remaining games trying to get everyone back to the islands together?
I mean, sure, they all made it back together in KH2 (which is also the reason why I feel the series was originally intended to end at that point), but aside from that, Sora is either constantly trying to look for Kairi, Riku or both, and bring them back. It does feel kinda fitting that this time, Riku and Kairi ho on a quest to bring Sora home
Too bad she gets left behind yet again. But maybe her training with Aqua will give her the strength she needs.

I think it'd be cool if we got 3 separate campaigns like in BBS, but with the Destiny Trio (Sora, Riku, and Kairi). I doubt it'll happen, but I can dream.

the theme is called: "the weight on her shoulders" and is from the recently released "Anno 1800"
when I first heard it, my mind immediately went to this animatic. even if you don't think it fits this scene in particular, I feel like it would still fit a scene where for example: Kairi prepares to set out on her next journey.

I can understand how Ven is the same age, but honestly, even Ven should be older now, mostly since his heart isn't in the pandora's box (Sora's heart)

This was great. It really feels like it's canon too. I love these videos of yours. I would love it if in the next game we go on a journey with riku and kairi in the same party. That would be great. I also really want kairi to visit the world's sora visited. That way we can see kairis outfit change and she would talk to the people that know sora, maybe share stories or something

I always liked the part in KH2 where Kairi goes to Twilight Town and meets Olette, Hayner and Pence, but I really felt like the developers could have had more on-screen moments where they chatted about Sora and shared stories

It's funny Kairi pretty much hasn't interacted with anyone since KH 1, it took us an extra six games or so before she was given a slight spotlight and then given a big spotlight in Re:mind and Melody of Memory, it's actually been that long since I've even thought a little bit about Kairi, it should have been given so much more focus, especially with how people as a whole have changed, we like to see characters being characters, it's one of those human things, why has KH 1 been the only game to get that right?
would anyone else be kind of annoyed if the next game is, Kairi and Riku attempt to 'Save' Sora, only for it to be revealed that Sora only just 'Saved' himself moments before they both arrived. But this is the first scene in the game, and Sora's story is told in an DLC camping

She will, Nomura actually said he's got big plans for Kairi, and he apologized about Kairi not being useful in kh3, he got writers block, basically, and said he really wants to make her a good character, and less of a damsel in distress.

I really wish this could happen in the next game, but after KHIII I don't have much hope. Kairi and other girls from nomura's works are the same, a f***ing mcguffin. It's sad that only fans gave them (Kairi and company) the development and the respect they deserve, not only as female characters but also as main characters.
