Do you know? Fyi, the song "Tian Mi Mi" is adapted from Indonesia folk song from Banten with the original title "dayung sampan (paddle sampan)". When Teresa teng stopped in Indonesia, Teresa teng was interested in covering this song into the Chinese version. Teresa teng also changed some of her songs into Indonesian.

As I was stepping out of my hotel in Chiang Mai that early morning on May 8, 1995, I saw paramedics carrying out a woman to a nearby ambulance. That evening back in my hotel room, I learnt that that one-in-a-million Teresa Teng had passed. That woman on the stretcher in the morning was Teresa Teng. Twenty nine years next month, my heart will still sink. Mahalo nui loa - thank you very much, indeed - Teresa Teng.

She was undoubtedly the most influential Chinese singer of all time - TIME Magazine and BillBoard voted her as the top 10 most influential singer of all time alongside the Rolling Stones, Bon Marley and John Lennon! Teresa Teng has that ability to invoked deep emotions in her audience in concerts - just by being herself. Just google her concerts in Japan, Taiwan and across Asia. People are there just to hear her talk and see her and then see her sing. Extraordinary. Her voice is simply enthralling and magical. And her personality.. you can imagine.. Everything she did was perfect. Even when she forgot her words, her audience loved her more!!

it is Teresa Teng interpretation of an Indonesian song in mandarin . She also recorded many of her mandarin songs in Indonesian language . She made efforts to learn to sing in Indonesian as she has many Indonesian fans after she came to South East Asia in the 1960/1970s and bcame a favourite and most popular female Chinese singer in this region.
She was always humble , down to earth and grateful for the support from her South east Asian fans even after she bcame Asia superstar and highly successful in Japan which was the top entertainment hub in those days.

As I watch videos of Teresa watching her as a young precocious aspiring talent, one can't help but notice the innocence of a young girl grown into a beautiful woman. All the while, maintaining her effervescent personality. Teresa's young girl's personality never left her; you can observe in her performances and interactions with her audiences.
I didn't know of Teresa until after her death, May 8, 1995. I've heard Teresa's music on rare occasions because I've always been busy and preoccupied with living a narrowly focused life. A life filled with occasional turbulence. As I happened upon hearing Teresa's music, the melodic voice is therapeutic. I couldn't understand a single word she was singing, but I enjoyed it so.
I feel a sense of innocence lost, especially while watching a video of her performance in front of the Taiwan arm forces, and her emotions percolate, her joy and love of performing to the troops who all adored her, were observable.
A very talented angel is lost, but for that brief bright moment, the world is better for the angel was upon us.
