Been trying to find this version for years! I remember KROQ-FM in Pasadena playing this version. I still have my original cassette tape from back then where I recorded this version directly off the air.
Back in the 80s I had a cassette of 'DARE '(!) which had the vocals ' lifted ' and just the instrumental backing track. I was obviously way ahead of my time...great for singing along to...with my hairbrush in my hand. When I moved house it disappeared... sadly.
Philip Lovings The 'end' there is another song altogether. Transitions from don't you want me into do or die. You should listen to the album Dare in its entirety.
I loved this version, but didn't it have a short section when the girl says "I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar"; I remember where they played with it by changing it to "I was working, I was working at a cocktail bar, omitting the waitress part. Maybe this was a hot tracks version I'm confusing it with. Regardless, this is a fun mix of a fab song!
totally forgot that Phil Oakey used to stand in stilettos on stage and sing those gorgeous songs ...on live TV they edited shots so u didn't see that !!! Yannis Marshall before Yannis was born !!!
Ha ! The end, music for a skin flix ? (just a joke) :o)) - No, this version is very very good, I remember wery well on the radio on CKMF 94. Yes, it's Epic stuff.
Love this Remix. True Summer 82 Jam.
This is perhaps one the best songs ever written. Magnificent sound and performance. Great classic.
Really Hot Mix...I Miss The 80's when I was in my Teens and 20's ;-)

Love this mix. Still play this vers. whenever I'm djing an 80s or retro night. And, it still gets screams when the intro synths come in.
