- In this video I review the Fortnite Motorboat by Hasbro and see how it works with GI Joe Classified. Is it too “kiddie” or does it work well?

I may get one, paint it all black, and then place firefly and a couple of cobra troopers on it. Sort of like the Cobra “night landing raft”.

I would paint it all Orange like the "Devil Fish"and when Shipwreck and Torpedo get released with Gung ho in back this would look amazing.....?!!!.
With the HISS, Trouble Bubble and Serpentors Air Chariot coming I'd have to paint this up for the Joes. With just the RAM bike they're going to be seriously outgunned.
I have a feeling we will see a Vamp soon, cause right there they already have 2 different vehicles they could do.
Its called budget cuts. Building back better isn't free. (guessing punks don't water ski) Hide a torpedo in the middle and could have a Cobra E-Boat.
Amazing little boat I could imagine a few 3D printed parts could easily transform it into a water moccasin

In Oct of 2023 it’s only $27 at Amazon now. Def worth it at that price. It’s a pretty solid feeling vehicle. Kind of a pain to take apart to paint it, but doable.
They were at Ollie’s again this weekend by my place.

So hasbro can put 1/12 scale vehicles in the store for fortnite, but they can't do it for GI Joe classified. ???
I believe this is a fan channel exclusive. Also Fortnite is a completely different type of collector.
@@Apunkwithtoys I collect Fortnie. It's basically 1/12 figures in wild costumes with guns. That's not too different from Classified.
I like it even the lifting engines,looks like it gives it turbo power. I would paint the white stripe and pipes red.

Not to beat a dead horse, but this was an 80 dollar release... from Hasbro... at retail... right after we were asked to dump money on a tank that isn't much bigger than this and was online exclusive because "we couldn't do this as a retail release," from a billion dollar toy company at more than triple the cost of this. Because it's taller? It includes a light feature no one will ever use?

And this right here is the kicker. Since they own GI Joe they should be able to do any vehicles that size for 80 easily, the question is will they. I don’t want too many as space is an issue, but a few would be nice.
@@Apunkwithtoys i do believe Lenny did say they was going to look at doing more medium and small vehicles but i do have to say yes have room for them going to be hard for me as well
I received my Boat a couple of weeks ago,possibly 3 weeks and it has been sat next to my desk so i can look at it.I've tried a few figures in it trying to decide what i want to do with it and until you popped those engines out i never knew they did that.I popped out my engines and they still had cardboard protection in them. So thanks for that heads up.I guess i would have found that feature when i stripped it down for painting but at least now it wont come as a surprise. So thanks for the heads up! Edit: one of the biggest gripes i have with this Boat from my point of view is the low sides and back.I think i'll be building up the sides when i finally get around to repainting my boat and making a mini gun to go on the right hand side {Starboard}. Not convinced i have enough room to mount a pintel mounted 50 cal in the rear.
There’s not a lot of space because of where the motor sits, but not gonna complain for the price I got it at.
@@Apunkwithtoys Some people are picking them up for $15, i can assure you UK prices are much higher. I've seen quite a few customs online for ideas but i'm probably going to make mine a River Patrol boat for my Joes.

It’s definitely a cool vehicle for GI Joe Classified figures, but definitely not worth what Hasbro is asking for it. I’ll wait for it to get marked down on Amazon.
I’m not saying I disagree with you, but this is exactly why no one wants to do this scale vehicles. MOTU is a perfect example, everyone waits till they’re on clearance to buy the vehicles and those are under $35.
@@Apunkwithtoys I agree with you as well, but I’m sure we both can agree as fellow collectors, that more accessories and better QC, would make a vehicle like this worth it’s asking price. BTW, thank you for giving us viewers, an early look at the fortnite boat.

Hasbro can make a 1/12 scale boat for Firtnite, but not a jeep or Vamp for Classified?
Fortnite is the biggest game in the world and Hasbro bid to get the rights to the property. My guess is that they promised to make some bigger toys to get the license. GI Joe was a dead brand, it failed over and over. So Hasbro had no clue it would blow up like it has, but now you are seeing they are making more for it. Everything with a billion dollar corporation is about money, they had to prove they could make money before just allowing them to make vehicles that might not sell.

I am a bit late to the party. Picked it up today. In a way glad I waited as it dropped in price and it was CAD 53. All parts were there on my one. Hi from Canada.
put a gun up front where that missing piece is and do the blue plastic in orange and Hasbro could easily release this as the GI JOe Devil Ray. This is screaming a mold reuse Hasbro.
So this sounds crazy, but I do not believe Hasbro shares molds across brands, at least not brands they don’t own like Marvel and Star Wars. Fortnite would count in that too 🤷🏻♂️
Ollie's has it at some stores for $14.99. I got it last night for $11 something during an annual sale (12/10/2023).
As did I. $11.25. Got lucky and found two on the shelf. Can't imagine paying $70 for it.

Yeah they haven’t hit here yet in Michigan, I’ll be out this weekend looking again. It’s well worth it for $15.

I'd call it the high seas Cobra Cottonmouth. New pilot, using that 5 POA red and silver Cobra driver from that brief period where Joe drivers and figures were 5 POA. That driver but done in Classified. Thanks for the review.

I will be doing one at the end of the year, same for my 1:18 figures. I did do one at the end of last year but a lot has been added, hell a lot has been added since the short I did lol

This would look awesome with some cobra eels on it. And there are cobra vehicles that have used blue on black colors too like the hiss 2. All it needs is some repro labels with cobra stickers.
Or you could use it with action force. The UK action force line used these colors in their naval vehicles.
I'll wait til it's $350 on Hasbro Pulse.

That would be almost double the size and have way more detail. Water moccasin, yes, that is smaller and way less detail.
@@Apunkwithtoys the hiss tank just proved it a money maker. The Moray is one of the best GI joe toys. Alot of people who want a 6 inch scale one

Once Copperhead went up on pre-order, I had to have a boat and so ordered this. A really nice boat. So nice in fact I ordered a second boat and decided to pre-order Torpedo and Shipwreck to go with it lol
As of 4/7/2023 it is $49.90 at Amazon. Both of mine were at this price.
Honestly the boat is better than it should be.
Ordered this pretty much for this purpose, only for the Dreadnoks. Bit of an airbrush job on the water to make it look swampier and a bit of weathering and paint in some areas of the boat and it should look good. Just need to find a decal for the logo.
