Exploring the wonderful world of crimping with a set of crimp connectors that include the center conductor. Test resulted in choosing to abandon the idea of ever crimping the center conductor on a PL-259.
I use a DX Engineering crimp tool and their PL-259 connectors. For this 78-year-old guy, this crimping is a BEAR. I end up using a vice to close the crimp tool all the way! But, I get it done. I'm not all that good at this either. Sometimes I screw up a couple connectors before l get a non-shorted connector. Lemme tell ya, "Gettin' old ain't for sissies"!
