Oh yes, my favourites from the entire patch, at last. I expected this one to be tough one to lay out in all details, but your guides never disappoint! nice to see the different build orders especially. A nitpick but still, one unit you forgot to talk about is Nurgle Whirlwind artillery. There's not that much to say about them, I think they cause poison dot, are available to like 3 companies, and that's kinda it.
Absurd wie viel Arbeit die sich mit DG gemacht haben, echt toll. Und danke für dein Erklärvideo in Vorlesungslänge, ich hätte da sonst nie komplett durchgeblickt ;)
Death Guard is absolutely amazing faction. They have so much Nurgly flavor in everything. It's not just a cheap reskin with couple of units. Everything is unique.
Death guard is my absolute favorite chaos faction so it was incredibly nice coming back from a DoW break and finding them to be such a fun race to play. Also something about the predator tank voice lines really resonates with me 🤭😂
I find with the Death Guard, they're balanced by their slow start. In the first tier they're not too strong, a little on the weak side but as you tech up they definitely get alot stronger. Feel like they're pretty expensive too to really get going. So understand the "too weak" and "too op" arguments but both are just extremes on both sides.
Could you help me Max? Could you show "how to get" tempestus scions?) Please, because it's too hard to find for me And about Death Guard: they really strong for some people which like too play their style: slow and "step by step". But there are TOO MANY useless units and stuff that distract you for example Salamanders don't have this problem they're PERFECT(at least for me)
I will not spoil how to get scions until I make and updated WH guide video ;-). I wouldn't say DG has useless units. They all have a purpose and you can make them work with a fitting company.
@@TheLaughingMax OK I'll wait I agree that you can make all units work but that is TOO complicated Any way who cares?)) Everybody will cosplay siege of Vracks)
There are some units you really want to have yes. Lord, havoc's and blight drones (for company 4-5). Having units for a lot of situations is a good thing in my book.
I came here looking for only one thing and you totally avoid it man, What is the benefit of the "eater of life" demon prince over the "regular" demon prince, considering that: - Eater of life has 1 ability, a standard roar that all demon princes have. - Eater of life blocks access to "herald of nurgle" that has 3 abilities. - Eater of life blocks access to "malignant plaguecaster" that has of 4 abilities. Being exclusive to 4th company what is the benefit of having a "eater of life"???
@@TheLaughingMax Of course I did. The core problems are still the same as in 5.9 - over reliance on the Advanced Weaponry research simply to stay relevant and lack of commander and building damage for the stormtroopers and even bodyguards. In team games it is not as noticeable but in 1x1s where t1 is the most important stage it is quite a glaring issue. Combine that with low armor type and lowish hp while still costing 35 req/model and you have your recipe for still sucking ass.
@@TheLaughingMax I will agree as well for sure when I see someone beating the top 5 of the ladder on any good race with stormtroopers. Something tells me that's not gonna happen consistently or even any time soon.

Thanks! Yeah, forgot about that one. I like the other artillery piece more as it is available a tier earlier.
7:44 that coughing is on point
I enjoy all the Chaos factions in Unification but this one really stand above the rest for me, so fun to play. Very happy to be on the guide !
Thanks for helping with the guide!

Gerne! Ja doch, hat was von Vorlesungen im Fach "Unification-Lehre", haha. :-)
Excellent overview with my favourite race mate, appreciate the work that went into this!

indeed! having unique factions is what unification is all about 🙂
I was waiting for this one

Best DG voices for the predator, he!

Death guard in unification are the strongest turtle race in game once fully held an area its hard to remove them
Plague zombie is resilience squads. no reinforce but, they are tough as much as Flayed One
They are cool. You need to pair them with something though. Either cultists or plague bearers work pretty well.

The thing is almost every unit in their roster except for havocs is situational. At least that's what I get from playing them

Only race i play

For me the TLDR of this video is IDH stormtroopers path still sucks ass lmao.
What? Have you even watched the video? I explained how they are good now.

Let's agree to disagree ;-)
