    I've just updated my Z9 to version 4..0 software and can't wait to learn and master the ultimate power of this camera. So many tools to master. The one thing I will struggle with is leaving my Z9 alone outdoors. I would be crushed to have some 2 legged or 4 legged creature walk off with it. Your videos inspire.

      The Z9 was unfortunately not on the tripod when Morten returned the next morning. But at least the thief managed to check the memory card, and win an international Photo Competition with the capture of a Beech Marten jumping in mid air above a tree branch.

      That is a concern. Those who do camera trapping go to great lengths to set up away from where others might go and to disguise the camera.

    I'm always enjoying seeing you sitting in the darkness, in the small tent, waiting, hunting, whispering into the camera, and taking these images by yourself. This AI kinda firmware upgrade will be popular for sure and some ppl here are excited to see your camera shooting the photographs without you, but, real photography always had several components - and two main components - are the subject and the photographer. not his gear, fast finger, or capacious memory cards, but the photographer's passion, his/her patience, and dedication. I never was a fan of animals or bird photographers, but I followed your channel for years because of your wonderful trips and the walks in the forests around your house. And my favorite episode always will be your first ever bread made by you in the middle of the forest, but not this magic auto shutter :-)

    • @souvenirshutterphotography4037
      @souvenirshutterphotography4037 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i totally agree, as a photographer one will definately put their passion and skill to capture subject by himeslf, i think this video was just for showing auto capture feature, but real world each moment matters in nature, so i will prefer shooting by myself and not wasting shutter actuations of my camera on auto capture technology and filling my memory cards and hard drives and wasting time around it. all that matters is one perfect photo

    • @VictorBezrukov
      @VictorBezrukov ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@souvenirshutterphotography4037 Absolutely agree. And after all what is our role if we can sit and wait when our cameras finish the "job". I understand that only my personal feelings and many photographers do wait for these auto features. I came to photography with the goal to do everything by my hands. No matter with a digital or film camera.

There’s so many possibilities which come to mind if I can automate photography and more important videography in this way. Thank you for the demonstration. hang a single feather up by a string or light fishing line so it can be seen from far enough and moves in the slightest breeze but also keep in mind the possible directions paths that the predator will take. This works for most any, but it's an age old method for fox, coyote, etc. as they cannot resist checking out the feather. Like if there's natural game path just hang it along that as an attractant. oh yeah and I can't wait to try this with the hummers on the feeder, no more needing to be there with a remote or a blind...

    Sparrowhawks have an area where they pluck their prey before they take it to a nest.

    Hi, thank you for the interesting videos! About Auto capture: Did you notice, that the minimal distance, which can be set is not (!) the minimal distance, which you have for the particular lens for regular use, but seemingly the 20x of the focal length for the so called „prime“ lenses (not zooms)? As I tested, the minimal distance to set with auto capture is with the Z 800mm f6.3 16m(!) instead of regularly 5m. (With TC 2x 32m instead of 5m…) The corresponding values for Z 105mm MC 2,1m (instead of 29cm), for the Z 24-120mm 0,4m at 24mm, but it grows gradually to 2,4m up to the longest focal length for 120mm (which regularly allows to focus 0,4m to. For this lens zooming back to 24mm the minimal distance does‘t change again automatically to 40cm. It seems an allowed closest distance to set for the (not wide angel focal length) possible with auto capture limited by the software to the 20x of the particular (not wide angel) focal lens independently of its regular near focus capacity, which is much closer as that for auto capture (as I wrote the individual values for lenses I tested above). How do you think about? I mean, even if auto capture is generally a very good feature, at that point there is a very relevant limitation for wildlife photographer, with potential to improve this issue. I find it interesting, that up to now no reviews as Ricci and others) mentioned this issue. Even in the manual („addendum“ to firmware 4.0 there is no word about the limitation of the closest didtance, which differs from that, which the particular lens itself allows. Best regards Josef

  • @LetsGoOutdoors

    This is a very interesting advancement. However, I am curious if this type of photography can still be considered as "a photograph that I took”? At what point do we classify the photographs we admire as the work of a photographer or the result of AI? This also includes post-production for videos or stills. I wonder if when the camera was first invented and became widely used, painters and other artists felt that the capture of the world around us had gone too far? Although AI may not be fully capable of determining what makes a good photo, I believe we have taken the first serious steps toward removing the human element from the art form known as photography.
