Intergenerational art at Oakwood Court for care home open week 2024

"Galactic storm", "Dalmation" and "Odds, bobs and blobs" were just some of the names of abstract paintings made by residents at Oakwood Court Care Home, Bolnore Village Primary School and Warden Park Academy today during an intergenerational art workshop to celebrate national care home open week.
It was an "expressive" morning led by 'The Painted Ladies' which saw everyone taking a turn to make their mark. Layer upon layer, soon we saw all sorts of shapes and weird and wonderful layers!
Once the paint has dried, the art will be framed and will take pride of place at Oakwood Court and in the schools, as a lasting momento of this special morning spent together with the local community.
