We were sitting in our Airstream watching this organization video and got so inspired that we immediately jumped up and repurposed a drawer, shoe space, and reorganized a closet!! Also, very clever to turn the shelves upside down for RV use. We love watching your videos, including the cooking videos. Keep them coming!

I'm so impressed! I think I told you before I am a professional organizer - and you did this exactly right!!! Pull it all out first - see what you have to organize and THEN go get the equipment. So many get totes and things first and then are frustrated cus they can't make it work!! I see you are Christine the condiment squirell! YES on the air fryer! I cannot wait to pick mine up at home and bring it along for our winter trip. IKEA is a must stop for you - just know it will take almost all day. This looks amazing and yes it always gets worse before it gets better - great job! It must feel so good to have all of your food together in one spot instead of squirelled away everywhere! Can't wait for the airfryer recipes - I love fish, sweet potatoes and ravioli in mine! Thanks for sharing

Chris literally just yelled at me and said " You should have showed the other closet!"😂😅 We moved the close hanging bar over there and reduced our cloths by about 80%! We will show it in one of our travel vlogs. We will have to talk about it more because it's a big game changer for us in comfort! Thanks for watching!

I loved this video! My husband was cracking up as we watched... I'm a total organization FREAK... really! This video was so me! It is so fun to come up with storage solutions. All my food is in clear air tight containers. Yes... they all match. I swear they are practical. This is not a matchy matchy thing! I can see in them and pull out just what i need. I even found a way to deal with the curved Airstream sides without loosing space!

Wondering if you guys have thought about moving up to a B+ (small C) since they have a little bit more room, especially since you guys have all the work out equipment in there too.
Enjoying these video's and recipes on the blog. I've made a few things and our family really enjoys the egg roll in a bowl recipe best. Our granddaughter used to steal our Chinese food egg roll when we would sit with her. It's great to feed her this much healthy version - she loves it.
We haven't really ever considered a B+. But, you're right they are a lot more room! We really like the maneuverability of the true van size and we are good with the living space. Maybe if we really slowed our travel, it would be nice to have a slide out and the extra storage space!

I hope you posted the link of the plastic containers on your Amazon link. You inspired me to use something like that. We will only have one small wardrobe. I will have to do some major organizing. I want to carry at least a couple of shirts on hangers. Also, I made the turkey meatballs and we absolutely loved them! I haven’t watched today’s video yet but I will watch it tonight!!

Great idea, my Travato has a cupboard in the bathroom that is a junk cupboard. I am going to put some shelves in it too, my house closed escrow on Friday and I have been living in my TK in my daughters backyard in Arizona. It's very frustrating not being able to find anything in this van. Everything used to be a routine, now it's a hassle just trying to find where I left my cell phone.Going to head over to Lowe's in a day or two in by some shelving for that cabinet so I can organize it like you guys. Thanks for the video.
Glad the house is moving along! Yeah it can be frustrating living in a tiny B. We've had the shelving now for a couple weeks and it's hard to express how much better it is. We go in that closet dozens of times a day and it's change our lives forever now! Have fun with yours!

Oh my, lol. My trailer has a similar "clothes" closet with the hanger rod. I abandoned all hanger clothes and inserted a 4 drawer plastic Walmart dresser. check out some of the videos on how to roll clothes in a military manner - saves lots of space.
We are almost done with the hanger clothes...down to about 10 items total between the 2 of us. We both use the roll-method for our other items. I should watch some videos and make sure I'm not missing out on any technique tips! Thanks for the tip. - Chris
I love organizing our trailer! Every time we take it out I move something around to make it more efficient. The funny thing is, I have the same amount of stuff but I keep creating more and more space! I do the same thing in my house, I am an organization nerd 😂 The wire shelves you used are genius because they not only hold things in but you can see through them to other levels!

We have gotten the van weighed on the CAT scales and it was about 500 lbs under the 11,030 GVW. It's heavy!

The problem with the generator you are running the AC and charging two 100 amp lithium batteries at the same time. Turn off the circuit breaker that goes to your charger.
We just got ours fixed and it ended up being a couple leaking fuel hoses. We couldn't even get the gen to fire up towards the end. But, happy to have it running now. Thanks for the suggestion!
I noticed the toilet paper was wrapped in grocery bags I’m assuming that is to keep them clean but is the another reason for doing that!?

Hi there! Yes, I wrap the toilet paper to keep it clean. When we store the toilet paper we broke up the large package that it's sold in so that we could stack/tetris it in our closet to maximize storage space. I like managing the single rolls better than trying to stuff a giant bundle all as one :) - Chris

We put our shoes in a tote in the bottom of the closet.... no room for a hanging shoe organizer in there. Shoes do take up a lot of space for sure!

We ended up putting the pots and pans on the second from bottom shelf. We made it about 8 inches tall so it's a tight fit and they travel soooo much better now. Chris keeps her pans in brown bags so they don't scratch while traveling. The final "pan" down shot does show them briefly... but it's a tight shot in the closet.

Ever think of using pan savers? Thick cut felt that protects pan surfaces ~ assorted sizes fit a variety of sizes & depths. Super cheap.

I have seen those! I think she just started with the paper sacks as a necessity as we discovered we needed them when we first left. Then our frugalness took over and we just kept using them.😳 I'll take another look at the savers and I think it will look a lot nicer in our new closet!

You’ve inspired me to do a video of my camper chicken coop conversion 😂 I turned a 1970’s camper into a coop for my flock because of covid I couldn’t find one to buy so I repurposed this instead. It’s working out great but still working on it.

Thank you! Our shoes we still keep in the bottom of the closet in a different plastic bin. Behind that small green blower/vac we have. There is room for one pair of shoes and a pair of sandals under each of the front swivel seats too, that we are currently wearing. We moved almost everything from the front closet (pantry ) into the new shelving and that made space for our hanging cloths to move there. We also ditched about 80% of our hanging cloths!

Hi, shelves are awful for hoarding, you can never tell what’s at the back. Drawers or sliding shelves are the way to go 🤓.

Personally I would have mounted the shelves on 1x2 wood or aluminum angle. It would have been stronger and better looking.

We watched a lot of the Russos in 2017 an 2018 when we were planning our journey. Great channel!
You need to retro fit the closet with roll our shelves and ditch hanging clothes up. Like seriously....you live in a van.....are you really ironing stuff that needs to be hung up? It’s a great space that is so poorly utilized. Come on #Airstream you can do better.
A custom roll out shelve system would be nice, but expensive. We ended up getting rid of about 80% of the hanging cloths and are really happy with the new shelves.
