I intervened in a domestic dispute once, the guy was standing over and screaming at the girl all curled up and crying. As soon as I got involved and got the guys attention…..you guessed it, then girl flipped a switch on me. I thought I was going to have to fight her! I think she saw it as her chance to get back on the guys good side. Crazies are everywhere.
I've seen it happen countless times. People with no shared kids, no shared house, defending the person who was just beating and throwing them around. It's pathetic. They have the chance to leave, they have options, they have law enforcement, they can buy a weapon, they can stand up for themselves. But instead they lie for them, take the abuse, then go back to them, they defend the abuser. Kick them to the curb and let them dig their own grave and mess with someone who isn't gonna take that bs.
I've seen that happen during my years as a cab driver only working night shifts back in the 00s. It's rarely like in the movies where the girl is super thankful for being "rescued" and her violent boyfriend gets arrested and sent to prison. Not rarely she will turn on the person who's trying to help her and stop her boyfriend from beating her, and stepping in does absolutely nothing to help the situation. It can even end up with you being accused of assault.
Remember fellas. If you see a man beating on a woman DO NOT I mean DO NOT intervene. 1. It’s definitely not the first time it’s happened. 2. The lady will legit attack you or blame you for hurting their husband/boyfriend. I know from experience. It’s not worth getting involved, and it’s not worth your life.
NEVER EVER break up a fight between a man and a woman who are romantically involved. The danger and emotions involved in these situations have no limits.

Ran into a similar situation. I did not get out of my car and I watched them from a good distance. The lady did end up leaving the vehicle because the guy thought I was going to call the cops. I gave her and her kid a ride to a safe location and bounced.

There was a similar case in the New York City Subway where a guy intervene in another man harassing a woman. Stabbed multiple times and died several days at the hospital. You can not get involve. People are unpredictable. Just call the police anonymously.
