Lyrics:
The right stuff
The right stuff
First time was a great time
Second time was a blast
Third time I fell in love
Now I hope it lasts
I can see it in your walk
Tell 'em when you talk
See it in everything you do
Even in your thoughts
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
The right stuff
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
The right stuff

Never thought I would love NKOTB, my life is burning down, yet all their lyrics hit hard. They kept thier stuff together and didn't become a bunch of drug addicts. 💊

Best boy band on the planet!! No others even come close. NKOTB FOREVER! ❤😍
They were the first boy band right? None of the imitators came up with a song as good as this one IMO.
@@ascendant95I would argue New Edition was first. In fact, if memory serves, I believe the manager who was fired by New Edition was responsible for creating NKOTB.
Also, if we want to go back to before they were known as boy bands, I think the Jackson 5 was the first and most successful of its kind.
But none of that takes away from NKOTB being awesome. 😊
@@judes5463 You could argue that the Jackson 5 was the first "boy band"...................but in my mind Jackson 5 and New Edition are a different style of music. Great music, just a different genre.
@@ascendant95 I don’t think I’d call it a different genre - it’s all pop music, even if it was before they called it that. Different era, maybe, but not a different genre. New Edition was typically only played on R&B stations but that was because mainstream audiences didn’t embrace black pop music as readily back then. In fact, NKOTB was originally packaged and presented to R&B stations and audiences just as New Edition had been but they bombed there. It wasn’t until Q105 started playing them that they blew up.
@@judes5463 So......................the Jackson 5 and NKOTB are the same genre of music? Hey...............everyone is entitled to their opinion!!

Me, 1980s songs are the best songs ever.
I remember back in the 80's how people used to always talk about them on how they are so corny or how they wouldn't last. Or how they would be called the old men on the block. Here it is 2022 and these guys are still making music, old and new, with them collaborating with other artists. I have been listening to these guys since back in the 80's and I was 12 then, now Im 47 yrs. old and still listening to them. My 24 yr old son and my 20 yr old daughter loves listening to there music too.
I think everything has its time and place. They're also smart and grounded but true to themselves. The mid 90s up to their reunion in 2008 were tough years finding their place back in the music scene. But with TH-cam and social media gaining momentum in 2008, they knew it was their time. They had a means to find their core fans again coupled with nostalgia...and they haven't looked back. They will always have their original fans and gaining new ones.
They’ll always be the new kids to me. No matter how old they get.
The video for our new single "Kids" is out now! Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/5nzSmIgyUok/w-d-xo.html

The GOOD old days.
They were such babies! When I was growing up listening to them I thought they looked older cause they were a few years older than I was! Perception changes so much as we get older!
I was just thinking exactly the same thing! I’m 40 now, so was only about 8-9 when this came out - and back then, to me they were absolutely “older boys” (ie: big grown up older teenagers). But looking at them now, I just see a bunch of little kids! 😆
Kylie Minogue is another one for me (I’m Australian) - to me she looked like a complete grown-up adult in her debut songs, but when I watch them back now, all I see is a VERY YOUNG (very sweet) looking teenage girl! 😄

A good song is a good song, no matter how it’s presented. I was into metal (usual suspects, Metallica, Megadeth etc) about 5 years or so later but during this time I always appreciated a good pop song when I heard it. Of course these songs weren’t written by the band themselves (knowing how the industry works), so probably had a good songwriting team behind them. There’s no shame in liking what you like

Great shoutout! Know any other videos he did from this era?
Lasantha He did Taylor Dayne’s “Tell It To My Heart” (fun fact: he told me that he also supposed to be one of the dancers, but Arista decided against it since they were trying to get TD on MTV’s Heavy Rotation list), and Johnny Kemp’s “Just Got Paid.” He’s the male lead in Jody Watley’s “Still A Thrill” video - all freestyle moves. I grew to love NKOTB watching them with my 2 daughters, and I love them to this day.
If you grew up in the 90's you all know these guys were BIG. This is my childhood
late 80's & VERY early 90's. They are certainly not identified as a 90's act.
Yeah, they were pretty much gone from the landscape by the end of 1990.
manlike anal
"clearly" I didn't grow up in the 1990's? I most certainly did, as well as the 1980's. Unlike pop culture of today, pop culture changed very rapidly throughout the 20th century up until the late 1990's, when it almost came to a screeching halt & has barely changed since except in very superficial ways. That being said, this video, the arrangement of the music, & the fashions worn by NKOTB in this video are a reflection of pop culture from circa 1989-1990 with a vengeance.

then check how you type up your comments. And the absurd name calling is not necessary. You may not have any class, but you can at least pretend you do when you are addressing people in public.

But 90s and 80s were the bomb the glory days of gaming fashion music and like everything else lol
Yeep you got that right!!!
It had the right stuff ...lol
I think you mean 70s and 80s🙂
@Nathan Bui racism wasn't a huge focal point in the 70s as much as the 60s and back with the civil rights movement, assasination of Martin Luther king, Malcom X, trying to integrate all white schools, ku klux Klan, bombings to black churches etc...of course it still existed and still does today but things changed largely for black people especially starting in the 70s such as airing first many all black cast sitcoms example: Good times, Sanford and son, the jeffersons, what's happening, including interracial cast shows: Different strokes, the facts of life and others, thats one example. I agree with the other things you listed though. Feminism movements became big again in the 70s. But there were other things like disco but I think the 70s looked more exciting and interesting than the 90s but 80s is my favorite decade
Nathan Bui I'm not white either but saying that the 70s was worse than today is a little severe. I for sure would rather be around in the 70s rather than 50s and far back to 1900s😒

I had a HUGE jumbo pin of these guys, on my acid wash Jean jacket of course....god they're still dreamy.
So did I!!! Idk where they go. 🤷🏽♀️ Joey was a cutie pie back then. As of today, I think Jordan and Donnie r the hot! 😍
I wasn't born in that decade and I still love their music, they are very good at what they do! my favorite band by far!
When i was a kid, i didnt hear it at all, but i now realize this song has a certain soulful/bluesiness. I like it better now
God broke the mold when he made Jordan Knight! Gorgeous when he was young and even more astounding with age... Blockhead for life!! ❤️❤️😉😘🥰
I loved Joey 🤣🤣🤣👍👍💜
I agree Jordan Knight was so hot
Shouldn't people have control over how attractive they are instead of it being up to God? Looks matter, and anyone who says otherwise, is a liar.
I wanted to marry Donnie have have his babies, lol. 😂🤣💗💖
Yes omg he sure did😍 Jordan is just delicious and can sing and dance so damn good ugggh I want his babies😂😂

I was in kindergarten when they came out. I am now 40
Yo apenas los conocí en el 2001 y me fascinaron
I can go from jamming death metal and gangsta rap right into these guys without skipping a beat and have been enjoying it since elementary school. Fuck yeah!!!!
Me vuelvo loca estas canciones son de mi adolescencia. Y como me moria por ellos son tan lindos. Siempre los escucho ....
