Great info on the “ old codgers” express lane, I’m 70 now so will check that out next time, I usually book Thai and free seat choice on the online check in app,. I’ve flown Eva a few times and to be fair both airlines have been brilliant,. It’s usually down to price which one I pick,.hopefully Thai /Eva keep the same gates on the old terminal in bkk to save the extra hassle of getting the train connection to the new extra terminal that’s just opened in bkk,. Thai and Eva flight share tkts sometimes, I’ve seen the Thai plane cover for the non existent Eva plane in Lhr evening flight,. Not sure how it all works, not very economical having 2 half full flights, so I guess that is why they flight share,. It will be a happy day when I find I need to spend a few thousand pounds on a watch at the duty free watch shop, I’ve usually got about 1000 bht in my wallet coming home,.

As a slightly larger person i do find the 4 seats a little to snug. I always try to get an aisle seat i the 3 seat rows. But otherwise no complaints about the service.

Really enjoyed that video. I think the check in for EVA at BKK is now much easier with the electronic system they have. BR67 always seems to be late in from Taipei, which knocks on to the departure from BKK and the arrival in LHR, which then makes BR068 late out of LHR as the turn around time is a bit too tight.
I think BA are restarting their direct service later this year but out of LGW instead oh Heathrow.

You can choose your seat 48 hours before the flight on line for free! If there’s any available of course. You were lucky you didn’t get screaming babies next to you, as the row you were on accommodates baby cribs

Thanks swinn ive been watching some pf your videos as travelling to Thailand for the first time in June. Question for you do i get to choose seats (x2 couple) before leaving london free of charge? Ill pay the extra for the return, on your information.

Love these videos. We had this issue with eva a few weeks ago when we flew lhr to bkk. I paid the extra (x3) to get the seats we wanted but not cheap and found it unusual. Not flown long haul for a while so didnt know if it was the norm now. Nor could i print boarding passes. Otherwise Eva were very good.
I think the airlines are trying out everthing to max their profits, following their losses during covid. Thanks for your kind comments

Great review like always! Love your plane review videos! About the seat issue, I recently went from Taipei to Paris as a backup of BR67. This was because it was quite full on BR67! I think the reason for your seat change was due to payload or full capacity due to the codeshare, I recently had a problem with that so may have been the same case for you. Also quite funnily, Row 45 was the same row I sat on for the Paris flight on BR87!

Newly upgraded? Still 10 across economy seating on a plane designed for 9. Too tight. All they appear to have done is change the seat colour.
Yes and the colour is a bit miserable. We found the seat quite uncomfortable after about 3 hours into the flight. Thanks for watching
@@Swinn-FGI got up to stretch my legs once on the 777,300er just do a lap or two around the isles, lights were all off as it a middle of the flight, anyway, walks down the aisle and gets to we’re you where sitting and curtains were across the entry to the galley, so I just turns left thinking it’s a cut through between the aisles, ended up trampling on the poor passengers feet as I cut across, a bit of an embarrassing fau pha ! Won’t be doing that again, in my defence it was dark and there seemed loads of room in front of seat row,.
Do we really have to spend the entire time looking up your nose.
Better than look down my nose 👃 at people, I guess
