I know exactly where you are on this one, that was my friend's winery/gin distillery, they used to use silver birch sap for making the booze. It was a thriving business then they had a fire, sadly it all seemed to fold through COVID :(
I often wonder if anyone recognizes these explores as being one of their properties. Has your friend see this video? Was it sad or nice to see the place again? It really doesn't take long for anyplace to look abandoned for decades.
What a wonderful place that once was. Made me feel incredibly sad, not sure why. That tree was flippin Awesome ❤ Loved this explore as well as the last night find 😊
Another awesome Explorer! Nice to see you and Ben together. And for someone that may like wine that would be an awesome find! Anyways, thanks again for the exploration. Happy New year!🎉
Hi Guys great find and video, nice bit of jungle exploring at the beginning Colin. Shame the place is just going to ruin, must have been quite a business in its time.Great commentary Colin with your usual enthusiasm really makes the video. Nice find the hidden wine cellar Real Sherlock and Watson stuff lol!!! Look forward to next weeks.Take care you guys.😀
I reckon as a beer brewer and a wine maker. Looking a the clarity of the wine, the temperature it's kept in and the darkness. I'm thinking that wine would be "pretty darn tasty " and probably major hangover producing material 😉
That was clearly in the middle of a renovation I reckon. The rooms being bare and the tiles being taken off the roof. Unfortunately the tarpaulin deteriorated and let the rain in. I think much of the wine in the cellar was actually made there. The vats and the 'strange' bottles by that ladder. My dad had them for wine making.
The whole place was a brewery with the plastic tanks and some of the bits around in all the different buildings and wat you found in the house full of with the wine as well but it's been abandoned for many years way a massive site with loads of land in amazing it hasn't been turned into new build houseing estate
Another fantastic explore, Colin. I think you discovered a wine making business of some sort. Looks as if it was/ is under renovation. That tree looks so out of place, seems like a tree you'd see in the outback of Australia. Cheers from the states 👍
@@TheBeardedExplorer it literally does, when I saw the colour and something in there I was waiting for the waft that says yuck 🤢 that’s not nice at all. But this one was a nice pleasant surprise for a change.
If it has a screw top it doesn't last and if it has a cork it should be layed on its side and turned regular to ensure the cork is kept moist which keeps it air tight I would not advise anyone to try that wine it's probably off and unfit
When you said "wine doesnt go out of date we could still drink this! I thought to myself 6 hours later and they'll both passed out on the floor surrounded by empties. Reused bottles = homemade wine. MMMM
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊Hello Mr explorer hope you and Ben are fit and well Your channel is brilliant... Is there another explorer called the bearded explorer or similar Any help from you or your subscribers would be grateful Thank you
I bet you stake them out first before you go in, and I'm betting you may have look outs who ring you if anyone comes near, you may use a drone for that .

Hi,I love your channel and have watched for many months but unfortunately I cannot subscribe, I think its a TH-cam problem. IF I subscribe I get notified when a new video is posted but when I go to your channel I find I cannot watch it as its a premiere or members only and have to wait days before I can watch, this is very irritating, I only want to be notified when I can watch it. So I have had to put your channel in my browser favourites so I can just check weekly to see if there is a video to watch. I have searched TH-cam to see if this can be changed without success. So very sorry at the moment I cannot subscribe, but rest assured your videos will continue to be watched, great channel.
You hardly ever have any issues from people seeing you enter these places, apart from the rat that called the cops that time when you went into that stately home/hotel, and they came in to get you.

Watching this by 15 min I was thinking distillery.
I work in hospitality.
That’s a load of bullshit. It’s been abandoned longer than 4 years.
Covid put the nail in the coffin of many businesses. Such ashame 😢
Have you told your friend and does he still own the property. ?? Definately had a fire and maybe water damage from firemen did the rest.
The tree is definitely a gum tree, Eucalyptus.... they are native to mainly Australia :)
Thanks!
Thank you Frank 🙂
@TheBeardedExplorer You're welcome Colin.

The control panel I'd say was a water irrigation system, maybe it was a garden centre or nursery?
The Bearded Explorer possibly a Eucalyptus’s tree
Yep I’d agree
One of ours you never no, there might be a koala hanging around there too

It look like a Australia gumtree
Curoious, it would be interesting to know what these buildings were used for. Good video, enjoyed watching it from the US.
I’m surprised it survived there. Must be optimal conditions!
Now that’s rare, when you open a fridge it’s usually stinky and very not nice but this one was you said ‘actually smells quite nice’ 😂

Hi Colin and Ben hello from Ayr in Scotland more of these videos please just fab

Looks like two distinct periods of occupation - first a farm (farmhouse) and then sort of shop/distillery much later (2000s)
The outbuildings look of ww2 origin. Is it near an old airfield?
That a sycamore tree Colin
No, that's a Eucalyptus tree 🙂👍🏻
That’s a native Australian paper bark tree.

They look like bottles of piss 😂
