    Thank you very much to show how the whole Process works. Will be driving the first time in my Life with a Ferry and this helps me quite a lot to not be nervous and know more or less where I have to go.

    Really interesting to see the loading and unloading process and the inside of the ship, really cool. We have an extensive ferry system here between Vancouver Island and the mainland that we use all the time, but our largest ships carry about 350 cars only, so a bit smaller :)

    Great video I am watching for the second time! Yes the name of the city is pronounced "Kan" (like ant). My question is, what papers do you need to take your car across? I did not hear anything being asked by controllers. Thanks

    • @IDRISIRIS
      @IDRISIRIS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you enjoyed it. You need your driving licence document and also the log book of the vehicle.

    Can anyone advise on the following? I plan to rent a UK road registered passenger car and take it to France for a week before returning to the UK. I understand that a UK sticker is required to be displayed on the vehicle. But, would the Checkpoint ask for the vehicle log book and/or VE103 document for rented/hired vehicles? Would the vehicle be permitted to embark on the ferry without this document?

    I’m part French and I often use Brittany ferries to get Caen, which is funny word to read for everyone that doesn’t speak the language. To say Caen say it is if you’re saying the word Cot (cot is a baby’s bed)
    So Pronounce the c and the co from “cot” and you should have the word Caen! 🤣

    • @IDRISIRIS
      @IDRISIRIS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate love how you broke it down to pronounce the word caen. 😀

    One Question...twice you had to get your passport out of your little pack, why didn't you have already in hand to give to passport control? If everyone had it ready, we would shave off 15 seconds per car.

    Just wondering what permission you had to get to fly the drone over the ferry port with it being so close to the naval base

    • @IDRISIRIS
      @IDRISIRIS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The drone is restricted, so it wouldn’t have flown if it was on a barred area

    Observation skills need to be enhanced, they put signs up for you to follow not ignore, or did you expect Condor ferries to take you to Caen instead of Brittany Ferries.
