As much as I like the paths, you can easily break the storyline you’re going for, take completing the Air Fleet hero mission for example, you end up in the Android story for no reason.
it doesn't even make sense on a straight path because every cutscene only considers one mission when you can come from 3 different levels in most stages, it makes no sense, it's out of character and it's hilariously bad
Honestly, we need another game with this system. Like, leave the weapons behind, but give Sonic this playstyle, and every level has two ally missions you can choose from. They can even expand the co op so if you’re playing with a friend it goes split screen or something.

I feel like Cryptic Castle's missions could use some work. For one, the two different types of enemies/allies are Egg Pawns and Black Arms. And yet, while the Hero Mission is just to find Cream and Cheese, the Dark Mission is to help Dr. Eggman light five giant lanterns to fend off the black creatures. Ironically enough, both Eggman and Amy cheer for Shadow fighting the Black Arms, which fills the Hero Gauge, but disapprove of him smashing the Egg Pawns, which fills the Dark Gauge. No matter what mission you pick, the enemies we fight just don't line up or make sense, especially since smashing Eggman's robots gives us extra dark points, along with helping him light his lanterns. I could think of two ways to fix this. 1. Eggman's Lantern quest is a Hero Mission instead, while Black Doom gives us the actual Dark Mission. One type of misson no character asked is "destroy all of Eggmsn's mechs." Since Black Doom and his minions are trying to infiltrate Eggman's Cryptic Castle, Black Doom would most likely want Shadow to help his soldiers by trashing all of Eggman's robots and taking the Castle. 2. Replace the Black Arms with Gun Soldiers, and have Amy offer us the Hero mission of destroying Eggman's robots so that she can help Cream and Cheese escape, and Eggman's Dark Mission is to STILL light the lanterns, only that we're doing so against the GUN forces instead of the Black Arms. That, or just stick to the original Hero Mission but with the Black Arms replaced with GUN troops. Which would you all perfer?
@@thedeltatheorist597 It'll likely be the 4kids actors. When Sega announced Sonic Colors: Ultimate, they brought back Kate Higgins to voice Tails again for the animated shorts, so bringing back the former actors would make sense

I agree. I have played this game many times and it's great. Sure, it has got some issues but it's not THAT bad.

Nah it's easy just frustating because if a enemy appears in the screen Shadow will prefer shoot him before the black arms escape ship xd

I don't think you need to have a character selected to do their missions. You can have dark doom out and still do the heroes missions.
