So years ago , I used Buddy’s gravy recipe , and it was awesome, and I got share that in the moment where I start adding the tomatoes to the onions , I puréed a portion of the tomatoes since I have picky eaters and you still have all the flavors….. I love Sunday Gravy it’s the best ❤fromTX
I have to laugh because I am making your Sunday sauce today holy Thursday. Can't make it tomorrow because I can't cook without tasting and tomorrow is Good Friday. So today I am making the sauce, making meatballs, browning the sausage and it will be already on Saturday to make my lasagna. This Irish-English Polack learned to make sauce from my Mom, who learned from her Italian girlfriends and neighbors in Brooklyn. Could have been your Mother who taught her. Right down to the sugar we cook the same. But when I started today I thought of you and went right to TH-cam. So I had you and Mauro talking to me as I cooked. Thank you sweet lady. Just wondering: Do people not use knives to eat in Italy (I know pasta doesn't need a knife) but people seem to be trying to eat that rib/meat by "cutting" it with a fork. I know that in some parts of the world things are done differently. No matter what I eat, my knife never leaves my right hand.

I never tried Mutti, however, I use Sclafani crushed and they are delicious. The sauce comes nice and thick that you don't need tomato paste. I also fry my meatballs maybe 6 to 8 pounds and I freeze them.
Made braciole today. My grandmother would put a whole onion studded w cloves. We used neck bones, hot and sweet sausage, braciole and meatballs... I need to try MUTTI
How do the tomatoes taste I use a washed whole potato a few instead of sugar or carrots it’s so good no acid at all the best is eating your potatoes after

Use a carrot instead of sugar. Nice smooth sauce without the sugar taste and no carrot taste. You get the sugar from the carrot. You honestly will love it.
