Everything you are saying is what I have been telling my brothers and sister some are walking away preferring to stay closed minded and therefore asleep, while other, are 'happy, to accept all things European and Asian doctrine everyone else s doctrine, economy, governance, strategies, scientific and, medical solutions solutions for dealing with people of colour. Honour and respect to you Dr.
I respect a lot of what he is saying but t break it down: 1. The idea that students of the Ugandan education system are introduced to; to think that they all must be in traditional proffessions like medicine and law and enginerring and Accounting etc has been the death of us. No creativity, we are sticking to the rule book and never with original initiatives. We are among the poorest countries yet we have all resources and a lot of work undone. Why is our mortality rate so high, and rubbish piling up, lots of uncaltivated land...and yet our unemployment rate through the roof? 2. The 'next to godliness' and problem solving expectation we have on bazungu is insanely overrated. We need to tactically and gradually equip and start trusting our selves to take our country further: diplomatically refusing to be used as door mats. 3. He has some conspiracy theories that I personally never give a lot of attention but increasing our actual economic independence would make us less of a victim of such. 4. We need English. I respect the idea of Ugandans learning to love and utilize their language, we need to communicate with the rest of the world, and most speak English. The biggest economy in the world USA does not speak their first language. Many are Italian, Mexican, etc but they had to get a universal language to get ahead. 5. The other concern is, what can we do as a country to pass on such knowledge to all individuals in Uganda in order to increase the hunger of every citizen to want to make Uganda a better place. We all know our president knows how much he benefits from the majority of the population being green about matters of development, yet they have the votes. 6. We are all God's people; black or white. Regardless of what the white man has done to the black man, we need to move on with forgiveness as a race and focus on making progress, and to me, putting the white man down is not the best way. Anyway, sorry for long comment but issues like this can not have a satisfactory reaction in few words.
