Well guys! How epic was that for a trip?!! Hope you all enjoyed it? What was your favorite part? If you missed the other 2 videos check them out here: Part 1 th-cam.com/video/UaiMnZgA85I/w-d-xo.html Part 2: th-cam.com/video/pIH2ySHE0z0/w-d-xo.html
Hey bud awesome episode as usual just a quick question though.... You think it's time to take a subscriber on a fishing trip as a reward... Surely Shauno can host on Mojo... anyway me and the missus will volunteer for the first episode Sammy. Keep up the good work mate love the channel 👍🏻
all I can say is WOW! The 3-series of this trip was perhaps the most fun true deep sea mini series I've ever found in my 50+ yrs fishing for fun. Thank you both for your time & effort sharing. I want to add how refreshing it was in the banter between good pals w/o the need for profanity every other word. It's super in that I'm happy to share it with friends of all ages. you also let me vicariously live one of my dream fishing trips...all in all, dang sharks & all too, just thanks to you from West Sacramento California right near the Sacramento River....my love is still deep sea/ocean fishing though. I'm subscribed and a new fan.
Technically, Rodney got his PB you just helped him bring it in:) Good to see that Rodney works on all sorts of boats, even Suano's! All jokes aside, that was Bloody Fantastic TV, Thanks Sammy.
Best one yet! Non stop action, best fighting and even better eating as a bonus. Dream conditions too. That's the ultimate dream fishing trip. Well done!
Top vid guys. Love the dolly shesh. They are so much fun especially when there's no other boats in sight. Well done to Shaun'o too. Love the boat Keep up the great vids🍻🍻🎣🎣😎
Hi from nz. Love the content. You are correct with the cooling process. Quick tip. If you take the gills and guts straight away. Then put them into a 50/50 salt ice salt water slurry you will achieve the same result in 24hrs. And have a even better quality product. Good practice for any fish you're keeping. 🤙
I'm amazed you've never had Blue Eye mate. You won't be disappointed - bloody beautiful. Never tried a Dolly though! Great vid mate. 'Mates for Life' 😇
Hey Sammy another awesome ep loved all 3parts. Think it’s would be awesome to do a competition for a fan to go on a fishing trip with you would be a trip of a lifetime. 🍻🎣
Having been a mate on a few sport fishing boats (charter and drift fishing) all I can say is “Someone please do the maintenance on that teak transom”! It’s driving me nuts! Boat would look 100 percent better with it done up right. Also, that’s one hell of an adventure. Just one or 2 of the things would make a great 3 day fishing adventure. You had a decade of adventure in 3 days!
This has been a fun trip to watch. You even got a quote and picture in Newsweek, and a spot on MSN news. Oh and thanks for the fishery data you posted on FB. Most of the info I get can get here about Australian waters is anecdotal.
What an epic trip this was!!! A M A Z I N G ! ! ! I was always dreaming about doing a trip like this in the mediterranean since 28 years ago, when we heard the first time about “Deep dropping” , in Greece. From a few old fishermen, who told stories where they just used hand reels, then the first electric reels started. Since then i was only a few times, but when it’s Right then and such a Glassout happens it’s indescribable. Congrats guys! You two are a very nice team, giving a relatable known feeling. Keep on doing teamwork. 👍
OMG yes so glad I didn't have to wait long for this episode this was bloody insane guys Thank you so much for all the amazing effort and everything put in to make this awesome adventure happen This was just so awesome to watch from the first episode right through to the end of this one I really hope I get a chance to head out into water like that one day this is definitely all the inspiration I need 👍🏼 I'm surprised you guys could hold them blue eye up after the fight from that depth how insane Them dollies were sick such an insane fighting fish and just one of the coolest looking fish In my books Especially the males with that big head bump Them fillets just looked amazing, great filleting job 👍🏼 I bet that went down a treat Keep up this amazing content Tight lines you legends 🎣
Been invested in these episodes for the last 3 weeks, what was the total kms and fuel usage for the trip? Also at night do you just set a sea anchor out and keep engines running when having a sleep?
Great video again. Thank you for taking us with you on the sea...😉🏴☠️ How deep could you fish with your tackle?? What kind of little sharks are theese? And are there somme different deepsea species down there which can be caught?
Excellent work fellas ! Never knew shauno was such a accomplished fisho can we get a bit of background info on this ? Just thought he was a 4wd guy. Love the content guys keep it coming. Cheers Beau
had those fish before, really good eating, its kind of like a combination of snapper and grouper, catch them sometimes when deep dropping in turks and caicos here at about 1200-2000ft
Awesome fish Sammy... what a trip! You guys should research Cato Island and Wreck Reef which are 200 Nm out from Bundy. I was with a charter business that fished the area going back just over 10 years and we only scratched the surface of the 'deep drop' opportunities. Plenty of good anchoring spots around the cays and islands too.
Good times aye boys. I'm not sure about the deep water species where your fishing but in NZ every deep water fish we have always has teeth so when we get bit from swordfish and dropped and the bait is scaled like one of your blue eye was....that's a swordfish. In your case the trick is using the right bait to stop the blue eye from biting and allowing the swordfish find the bait
Interesting! I didn’t even think about that. We may have had a little swordy encounter!! We are trying to get back out there when the weather allows 👌👌
I really like that you scaled the fish, that makes it so easy to take off the skin--and be able to eat the skin after a fry. Electric reels however is completely unsportsmanlike, it just is IMO.
@@SammyHitzkeFishing That's good, nowadays I see more and more electric reels reeling in fish with the rod left in the rod holder, people not breaking a sweat while a machine catches their fish. And out where I live and fish, people "hand off" the rod to their buddies, don't want to work up a sweat--then Hi Five's all around. It's all part of a sad trend, I think. "Rail rods" so you can brace the rod on the rail, when I was young the deck hands would scream at you "don't let that rod touch the rail" and if you could not handle the fish--you pointed the rod straight at the fish, locked down the drag and let them break off. Yesterday's ethics I guess, gone like a big blue fin.
Hi Sammy...is that a Deepliner Spy jig? Try out Cojyant deep drop jigs which are much cheaper as they're made in China by Deepliner opposed to being made in Japan
The fish on that part of the globe seem to be completely different from the ones where im from. Heck just different parts of the USA have completely different fish. Its why i like watching fishing videos.
Luvd the vid series mate awesome trip with amazing fishing 👌 U reckon Shauno wood do a short vid on his boat an the tackle he was using for us?? Stay safe budd 🤙
Sammy and Shauno that was epic of note!! I really enjoyed all three episodes and the feeling of adventure being out so far and it almost felt that i was there. Great stuff guys, a 1000 thumbs up and keep it coming Sammy!!
Hey Sammy, thoroughly enjoyed the three videos. Just a tip for your next catch of Bluey's; there's a whole lot of good eating flesh in the head. A lot of Italian fishermen I know, use them to make their fish or seafood soup. The most delicious bit of course is around the high cheek area. You will probably put the Bluey on the top of your best eating fish list. Cheers.
Eventually catching up as broadband was down.... therefore WiFi....and got good news that daughter is planning a move to Queensland from Darwin within next two years!.... apparently there is decent fishing there 🤔!
Well guys! How epic was that for a trip?!! Hope you all enjoyed it?

Do you just drift at night or anchor? Do both of you sleep at the same time or does one keep watch, just curious?
Over here on the west coast when halibut season on those electric reels are like a dinner bell for the sharks
Awesome series mate 👍
love your electric reels mate....
back in day used use 2 foot shash weights from old glass windows at sinkers and they get eaten by blue eye was funny so no bait to big for them
had those fish before, really good eating, its kind of like a combination of snapper and grouper, catch them sometimes when deep dropping in turks and caicos here at about 1200-2000ft
your so underated bro ur a legend
Wow like that! Grats mate..
Nice one boys!
Good day to you Capt what types of rods and reels are these deep drop

Hey @sammy what type of boat is Mojo? A luhrs?
Eventually catching up as broadband was down.... therefore WiFi....and got good news that daughter is planning a move to Queensland from Darwin within next two years!.... apparently there is decent fishing there 🤔!
Blue Eye is pretty hard to beat fresh, only thing that beats it is Striped Trumpeter!
Awesome!,
