- Liudmila Konovalova has passed a long way to success. At the age of 15 after getting into the orphanage with her little brother, and the loss of her mother, she found the inner forces not to give up and to move towards her goal in spite of the life obstacles. Without paying attention to the prejudice, the unbelief in her ballet future she created her own world where her dream had to come true athwart all the circumstances. She went first to Berlin for her dream, and after to Vienna where she was promoted by Manuel Legris to the position of a Prima ballerina. In this film Liudlima for the first time is open to speak about her childhood, coming back to the hard memories of overcoming, despair and fighting.
Every artist has his own road to success, but Liudmila’s story isn’t like the others - it strikes, it makes you thinking of many things and it admires, of course, how a human being is able to defeat the life circumstances, if the the faith and the strong will are living inside.

Людмила Коновалова проделала долгий путь к успеху. Оказавшись в 15 лет вместе с младшим братом в детском доме, потеряв маму, Люда нашла в себе силы не сдаться и двигаться к своей цели, несмотря на жизненные препятствия. Не обращая внимания на предвзятость, абсолютное безверие в её будущее на балетной сцене она создала собственный мир, в котором ее мечта должна была сбыться наперекор всему. За своей мечтой она уехала сначала в Берлин, а потом в Вену, где ее заметил Мануэль Легри, и она стала прима-балериной. В этом фильме Люда впервые открыто рассказывает о своём детстве, возвращаясь к тяжёлым воспоминаниям о преодолении, отчаянии и борьбе.
У каждого артиста свой путь к успеху, но история Люды совсем не похожа на другие: она шокирует, заставляет задуматься о многом и, конечно, восхищает, насколько человек может победить жизненные обстоятельства, если в нем живут вера и несгибаемая сила воли.

God bless you with happiness and peace in your life. Don't forget to be generous to those who have nothing! You are so beautiful, and your technique is amazing, but make sure you do not get too thin. I know it's about perfecting the line and fluidity, but, to me, you are too thin already. LOL.

@@candied.crabapples Good point. It's quite a health risk--eventually--to be so underweight. I recently saw a male soloist in "La Fille du Pharaon" (Zakharova, Filin) who should have been hospitalized he was so thin. He was all tendons and very thin muscle attached. He also looked kind of weak. I thought dancers would be better taken care of in what is still the "Soviet Union."
