Been there in March...it's not exactly what you see now due to big storms that hit Cuba a few years back. Still a nice hotel. i'll say 3.5 stars max. Employes are fantastic!
I was there last month. Most of the resort is damaged. The Disco is closed, a lot of trees are gone. The big roof and bar is gone too. They now have a bar in the lobby. The kids playing area is gone, a lot of tiles are damaged. They are renovating, but it definitely doesn’t look anything like this. The beach however is much larger has a lot more sand. It was nice being here but not necessary a repeat for me unless it’s cheaper.
At 1:50 - 2:01 I see a black cat and a grey cat two cats playing each other and when I been there in 2010 me and my mom we spot a black cat there where the other restaurant is an italian and chinese restaurant a black cat was somehow appear there, but has no collar and went hiding into the bushes and it did meow I think, it did not look scared very much I think, but we're both somehow afraid, because I don't know if I want to pet the black cat or not, but I like cats, but my mom feel that she felt as I felt I can't try to pet the black cat, because I don't know or we don't know if it's gonna scratch me or not and if it's wild or something and it was strange why was the black cat there wondering around at the hotel place like that, we don't know if those cats are from people's own houses outside the hotel place, can anybody tell/explain me where could the cats strangely come from in that place and why are they in this hotel tryp cayo coco?
I see those cats all the time, people feed them, people pet them, some even carry them, I've never seen them attack before but they still might. I've even seen that they have kittens and all that, I'm pretty sure they're wild though. I usually see two black ones and 3-6 grey ones. They like to hide behind the bushes near the stage too. So I think they're wild, I've never seen them attack but be careful because they still can because often when a cat is scared it'll attack. I hope that helped in any way XD
+TheCarrot You went to Hotel Tryp Cayo Coco many times, that's how you see them all the time? Really, we never thought of to try to feed the black cat we saw and hold it? I wish some cuban janitor or servant mentioned why are there cats there coming around to the hotel place.

The hurricane ruined it, but they rebuilt! I am going in February 2019. It will be exciting to see the changes!

Hurricane Irma really damaged this resort. They are putting it back together but it doesn't look anything like this anymore (January 2018).
