I was working on mine and noticed it was bottlenecking. came across this video and realized I started it completely wrong and had to unravel it and start over. good thing too. it looks so much better now
Very nice, even work. Your purses are lovely! I’d tried this with the same leather bottoms from Amazon but I didn’t realize you had to put 2 stitches in each hole! I also thought I was doing something wrong or using the wrong type of urine because it was so tight. Now I know that’s normal. I’m so glad I found your tutorial! Thanks 🙏🏾
Hi angel, I was wondering if after you crochet on the leather you just go on with your pattern? Because I like to make totes and was curious how to do that with using the leather bottom
Yes, you can! Just keep in mind the stitch count, if you are following a pattern. For instance, if the pattern creates a crochet bottom with 70 stitches around and the leather crochet bottom has only 60 holes, you'll have to add a few more stitches to insure your bottom measures up with the pattern. If that makes sense. The leather bottoms are great but you are size restricted. You'll just have to keep that in mind if you are using a pattern. 💚
Hi, I can see how you may get that. Check out my complete tutorial: Crocheting a letter bottom to a purse th-cam.com/video/woew0OY5AD0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=j7RfYuyEfheo2MYZj around marker 7:17 you can see how it shapes up. 💚
Yes, only because some yarn won't fit through the pre-sized holes. Also look for a durable yarn. You want the end product (purse/tote)t to withstand wear and tear of use.
@AhselAnneCrochet so what weight or number do you suggest? I still like to mix two colored yarns that'll compliment each other. Sometimes, I use one solid color and then use an ombre color .
Love this tutorial thank you!🐰🐰
Thank you! 😊

Would I be able to use t-shirt yarn with these bottoms or just regular yarn?
The holes are pre-made so if you can fit the t-shirt yarn through the holes, along witht he crochet hook; then yes this would work.
Wonderful instruction video
Thank you!💚

Thank you 8 months later. 💚
Do you turn at some point? Seems to me to continue the way you are showering the design would be shown as you go up on the wrong side.

Ga je als je verder gaat aan buiten of binnenkant haken ? Dit is mijn eerste keer op een bodem haken 😊
allo, het zal aan de buitenkant zijn.🙂
May I know the size of the yarn?
ummm... I believe this was a 4 weight yarn.
Does it matter the size of the yarn to make the hand bag?
Yes, only because some yarn won't fit through the pre-sized holes. Also look for a durable yarn. You want the end product (purse/tote)t to withstand wear and tear of use.

My paracord is bigger than the holes in the bag base
Eek. 😞
