I really don't know how they do it. every year it's "Ok they've hit their peak right? it can't get better than this" and they keep surprising me every time.
Still my favourite band after listening to them for 9+ years, this is what peak metalcore is.

the band was never metalcore, what are you talking about? Their early stuff is the best, they ARE getting worse by the year. Lost Souls was their last good album.
The best bands are the ones you witness refine themselves constantly, always fine-tuning. Basically these guys.
Saw them live March of last year with born of Osiris and Chelsea grin and I loved it! They have always been good and they are great now!

I love Currents, but the LP didn't have many songs that stood out like the singles. Most of the LP was highly forgettable.

As someone who found MTS today, I’ve watched the reaction videos to Bones. On all the videos, everyone suggests listening to Erase Me and rave about how much better it is than Bones. Now, that being said, I’ve listened to both of them. Bones is by far the better track. If I had heard Erase Me first, I would’ve just let it play through and not even look at the band. This song grabbed me. From the first note to the last. It just hits different. I’m very excited to start diving deep into Make Them Suffer.

Theres quite a few parts to this song that just make it soo good. Especially that bit from 0:26 to 0:37, and I love the chorus so much, and how it gets soft at the end like that.
update: coming back a year later this has become one of my favorite bands. The latest two albums are just so refined. Still listening to them almost daily!

Just listed to this album on repeat for the majority of a 15 hr drive.
Damn I really dig that opening riff. Not really complex or groundbreaking, but the guitarr take and rythym just work.
I really had some " not sure moments" while listening to this album the first time but this album is definitely a banger. Really like the direction you guys are headed, I'm excited to see where it goes.
