    I could never have guessed in a million years folk songs like this one would elicit an incredible amount of nostalgia. It is great stuff. I graduated from Vihiga High School or Vishiga as my grandma would say it. It is time for me to go home, it will be 10 years this March!

    this is Bukusu a chief dialect of the Luhya who are from western Kenya. As for the lyrics it will take me a while to figure that out I am not very fluent but its a celebration for the first born in the family
    The instruments the percussion is litungu(sounds like two players) lead( shiriri) a triangle and the harp like sound in the background that provides the bass and body is Litungu I hope that helps

      That is not Bukusu.. It is Isukha/Idakho. There is also no litungu there but Isukuti
