I could never have guessed in a million years folk songs like this one would elicit an incredible amount of nostalgia. It is great stuff. I graduated from Vihiga High School or Vishiga as my grandma would say it. It is time for me to go home, it will be 10 years this March!

@euskadirlz this is Bukusu a chief dialect of the Luhya who are from western Kenya. As for the lyrics it will take me a while to figure that out I am not very fluent but its a celebration for the first born in the family The instruments the percussion is litungu(sounds like two players) lead( shiriri) a triangle and the harp like sound in the background that provides the bass and body is Litungu I hope that helps

That is not Bukusu.. It is Isukha/Idakho. There is also no litungu there but Isukuti
