Hi Matt. Yes, this is a video teaser for six soloing videos with Allen that he and I did several years ago for Guitar Techniques magazine. Sadly those issues are out of print now but the separate videos are all here on my YT channel as well as another batch of six created a couple of years ago. There are also videos with Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse, Marty Friedman, Andy Timmons, Mattias IA Eklundh etc; all playing on tracks I wrote for them. Enjoy!

+Jason Cox Allen is a big fan of Redplate amps (especially the Redplate Bluesline at the moment) which provides the overdriven sounds here. It's mic'd up with a Shure 58 and a shure compressor mic, into an Avalon pre-amp then into a Duet soundcard then into an iMac using Logic recording software.
+jasonsidwell Oh I didn't see that the 58 on the amp. Thanks for telling me, now I have to try a 58 on my cab :) I have an RP50Duo and love it. I don't know why redplate amps aren't more popular... those things are special.
