@@GeekStreet I'm using a Blupont dvr looks very similar to this one your reviewing, I use the Xmeye app on my phone only annoying thing while out of wifi using mobile data all my cameras drop down to SD mode and look poor.
Hello, great video. I have a problem with my DVR, the first configuration was successful, later I wanted to set the display resolution to 1920 x 1080 a message appeared to restart the device and so I did, unfortunately the DVR has not turned on yet, do you know how to change it? I connected the DVR with an HDMI cable and will the connection with a VGA cable change anything?
Video is very good but when you set up dvr dont skip login setup. It is not that hard for someone to scan a lot of ip's from some town or some place. With that ip of your dvr he simply logs in and he got your cameras. So dont skip login page it may not be as encrypted as some high end cctv company but it would be something.
Awesome video, just purchased this with the 4 cameras. One question though mate, whats it like on the electricity bills 😂 also could i have this to alert my phone by message even if im abroad? Thank you
@@ifracing you view remotely but if there is motion detected i dont think you get a push notification informing you there is motion, unless something has changed on the system.
No you dont need hdd to view cameras he is just used as a storage for recorded video. If you dont want to view cameras over net just to some monitor you dont need dvr
My network connection is problematic as in i am not getting it connected. The IP Address do i need to get that from my provider? I downloaded the smartphone app but of course it is not connecting because my network connection is failing. Any advice?
Hi I am with BT and I think in your set up of the Sanco 1080N you had problems with the IP address as I am with BT they will not allocate me a fixed IP does this mean this equipment is not suitable for me? I want to monitor my house but need to also access the monitor when away from home on my smart phone can you help? thanking you Roger
+skippercaship Hi Roger, the system is accessible remotely via a cloud based login and this does not require you to have a fixed IP. So it should work on a dynamically allocated address.
Been using this system Sansco DX-8104 for 5 years and I would NOT recommend it. The time gets ahead of itself, which is a nuisance when reviewing footage or looking for a certain time. Footage jumps, no smooth control while forwarding and the firmware is buggy. Manufacturer sent replacement, same thing, even sent me a new firmware. Some improvement, but still not good enough.
@@MagicalBacon its like the only advanced setting that has the word channel in it i dont remember exactly what it was but once i changed it it restarted and worked out fine

why didnt you just put the screw back in the hole to seal it after you took the cover/shield off?
Thanks for the comment. Good point didn't think of that.
@@GeekStreet Great review though seem alot of these Dvrs use a very similar OS
Thanks for the comment much appreciated. Yes the DVRs all seem to use the same OS, the only one that didn't was the Foscam.

Do i need to keep the ethernet cable connected after first set up or will it run on its own and on my phone?
Cheers.. I don't have the exact type but this has helped volumes.
Glad it helped!
Great video helped me a lot , many thanks .

Can you use 480 D1 cameras with this DVR?
If its an IP camera that supports onvif it should work.
Is it possible to just have two cameras on the display? Or can you only have 1 full screen or 2 in the default 4 grid mode?
It's either 1 or 4 nothing else unfortunately.
Hi
Need to be connect by cable the camera or it’s by WiFi?
There is no WiFi so cable only.
How long is that cable from camera to the box?
100 feet
Do in need a hhd to view the cameras or is it just for recording?

How you start recording? rec light always blue and can't find any button to start recording. Thanks for helping.
It should auto record by default?! Have you tried checking to see if there are any recordings?
@@GeekStreet yes mate thanks, he is recording. Don't know why I was expecting the blue led to become red while recording. Old habit...

Hi I have this set up but my box has gone in standby mode and I don't know how to take it out of standby mode any help would be appreciated
Maybe try unplugging and wait 10secs and plug in again?
Tried that it didn't work but thank you for your help
Does your HDD system make a noise when in use like a crackling sound
No, that doesn't sound good.
Is there anyway u can make a vid recording the HDD system so can hear how yours sounds
Sorry I don't have that one any more it was just loaned to me for doing a review.
What is the name of the app you use to synchronize it to your cell phone?
XMEYE
I just want to know about the disk
Can this system be connected to a wifi/wireless router?
Thanks..
It can only be contected to an ethernet port. Hope that helps.

You could use a WiFi bridge like Vonets.

How to buy in India
My password was not blank. What do i do?
Is it dangerous for the cables to be coiled once plugged in to the power outlet?
+Deadpixel do mean when the cable is still tied up? It's not an issue.
Geek Street yea I thought maybe it was a similar situation to extension cords.
+Deadpixel should be fine for testing and just a low voltage. You won't be leaving like this anyways when you install right?
Geek Street I have about 25 ft of extra cord.
Deadpixel wow that's massive, it may be worth dropping the manufacturer a message and ask.
Can someone tell me does this have to be connected to a computer or a monitor ???
Its probably a good idea to initially connect to setup after that you don't need it.

1080n = 960p - quite a silly resolution, and annoying as amazon says (true 1080hd)
im having issues where the picture for the cameras wont show at all
Has it ever worked? And have you contacted their support?

Send an email to maxtopuk@gmail.com he works for the company and can help.
As soon as he got to 14:14 I knew this wasn't for me, I need user friendly devices not ones that require IT training.
I don't have done any I.T. training, but this system is easy to instal and connect.
