Faouzia joins Kyle Meredith to talk about her latest single and proclaiming this “a doll summer.” The Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter hashes out why she’s going for a more uptempo sound with her latest set, keeping her influences hidden for a more original sound, and not having an Arabic-Western pop artist to look to when she was young. Faouzia also discusses why she decided to cover Eiffel 65’s “I’m Blue” and that contrary to some interpretations, last year’s Citizen was only an EP, meaning that she’s yet to release her debut album.
