This has always been ideal for large families!

I always love the sound of the starter, the “Highland Park Hummingbird”. Highland Park, MI was the home of Chrysler in those days.

And if you see it now it would scare the hell out of you what happened to that place especially HP

My neighbor had a ‘70. Started quick when cold but cranked away when hot. Never saw the left key start and no numbers on speedo.

And after a week one big long Chrysler crank is all it takes 👍🏻
Is interesting to see though a left-handed ignition in the dash on those

Looks like it is almost out of gas, unless the gauge is not accurate.

Your gonna kill the starter like that

No he's not count cranking seconds you can go up to 15 seconds on the starter then wait about 30 seconds to let it cool.
Those double reduction starters are made that way
Can look in the owner's manual on older cars in will clearly say Do not crank more than 15 seconds at a time that was only about a 10-second crank

@@jjeremy350 not really while it's turning over you just say 1001 1002
      It's not freaking rocket science.
I had an old Oldsmobile I had to do that all the time it would take about four or five long cranks to get it going and that's just the way it was with a crappy accelerator pump at the time.
Oh yeah each time you just turn the key count between 10 and 15 then stop for about 30 seconds try it again
Main thing is just let the starter cool after a long crank unlike some people just sit there and cook the starter you don't want to do that
