After this episode, every actor connected to the show, got so much hate, not for Mary dying, not for John cheating, but for their (and actually also mine) ship still not getting where they wanted them to be. For instance on twitter, even Louise, who played Molly, but especially Mark Gatiss got 'Norbury' tweeted to them an awful lot of times. This is where (a certain side of) the fandom went of the rails. They hated it so much, they still go tell every reactor that it's 'downhill' after S2 but you found out yourself that wasn't true. I'm here to assure you, you'll love the last two episodes too. Sherlock is just a brilliant watch.
Unlike most people I always loved 4th season but that's because I've always been a sucker for some good shocking and emotionally traumatizing storylines. So a little heads-up, it gets darker and darker with each episode 😉
I have watched this show several times over, I swear I have memorized most of it. This part always kills me you can see the change in John's eyes. Almost as if he felt betrayed by Sherlock and you could sense hatred protruding through. I cry EVERYTIME .

Johns new hairstyle („with that level of personal grooming?“) in season 4 is absolutely beautiful… even tho I still wonder how he keeps his appearance so neat when he has a newborn
@@EllieroseReacts With the Robert Downey Jr. movies, we've only had Sherlock Holmes, and then Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows so far. There has been a third movie in the works forever, but it really doesn't look like it'll ever get done.
@@EllieroseReacts Elementary is well worth a watch too. 7 series & 154 episodes, so it'll keep you busy. Not as quirky as Sherlock, and it is based in NYC, but it has a good team dynamic. Jonny Lee Miller is Sherlock in that and it also includes Lucy Liu as Joan Watson, Rhys Ifans as Mycroft Holmes & Natalie Dormer is a very important character from series 2, which is clever.
Not sure if you've already seen it but you shouldmdo the mini episode! It was an extra epsiode with these character set after seaon three, but it sees our characters back when Sherlock was originally set!
I was about to comment this as well. I can't find the Abominable Bride episode either😢 I was really looking forward to it. Have I missed the video somehow?
The boy that died in the car? Charlie? Is the same actor that was in Game of Thrones during the theatre production that Arya watched! He played Clarenzo, an actor portraying King Joffrey and his death. Isnt that amazing??
I’m very intrigued to see your opinion on the final two as well! My feelings about the last season are a bit ambivalent but the way certain things from this episode are tied to things in the upcoming ones is interesting for sure, and the depth of this season really is as well. Hope you enjoy!
i dont like it either as standalone episode, especially the way they fridge marry but it sets up one of my favorite episode of the whole show, one reason i can forgive what they did to john in this episode. because it humanizes his character & let both sherlock and him be vulnerable
I'm honestly curious. I've read the complete works of sir Arthur conan doyal in high school. I get England's older but, Sherlock is British. Did read read Shakespeare then skip ahead?
Mary dies between books from an unnamed illness. So her death was really just following book cannon, whether or not their real life was involved or if it was always the plan I guess we'll never know.
It had nothing to do with them breaking up irl. As a matter of fact, the writer Steven Moffat wrote (after the series ended) a very succesful stage play with Amanda as the lead. Before they started filming this, they already split up, and afterwards, Amanda and Martin did promote the show together, cause yes, they have kids together, but they are also professional actors.
Out of curiosity, are you familiar with the source material? Am asking because it's not shocking to lose Mary if one has cursory familiarity with the original stories. So I'm wondering if your reaction to this episode is tied to your familiarity with that connection and resistance to this development as being out of character for canon JW, or more so in reaction to how he's brought to life in this series and feeling these events are out of character for this iteration of JW, or possibly both of those. I do think, despite Mary's absence being connected to canon, it's unfortunate you haven't seen the last two episodes, as John's behavior and who he really is at his core both receive a great deal of attention.
What is the Film order I should do?
@EllieroseReacts first Coco (2017), and after that, the Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring please
Edit: sorry I forgot to say please 😃

The saddest thing is only two more episodes left
😢What Hurt more was John Losing faith in SHERLOCK AND SHERLOCK FEELING THE GUILT

Season 4 is my favorite, especially the last episode. So amazing.
Ah, the Bus Gal, we'll get to her... Wonderful episode. I'm enjoying re-watching them with you.
Cool. Spoilers.
Johns new hairstyle („with that level of personal grooming?“) in season 4 is absolutely beautiful… even tho I still wonder how he keeps his appearance so neat when he has a newborn
I'm really looking forward to seeing your reactions in the next episodes, I hope it doesn't take long to post, I'm already looking forward to it.
Definitely gotta do the movies after the show. Different vibe to them, but they're very fun.
Is there an order?

@@EllieroseReacts oh i cant seen to find it! same with season 4 episode 2

I'm so excited to see the end of this. I love this season and I love the finale.
Mary died in the stories as well but never mentioned how.
Oooo interesting
I'm obsessed with you, really! You're stunning!

Can't wait to hear about the funny face John makes. :D
I kinda… don’t like this episode. I mean, it’s fun. But I don’t really like what they do with Mary, or John and bus lady
lol ok

Mary's death fr had me sobbing on the floor

yeahhhh, Sherlock is still good in S4 but it’s a couple of levels below its prime IMO

Mary dying was one of the saddest things but I still think the plot called for it?? Just me.
I love your Sherlock reactions so much, but the next episode has been copyrighted. 😢 I’d love to be able to watch it.
John and Mary was actually together IRL and they split. Not sure if that had anything to do with her being killed off but it would make sense.
they were never married actually, but yes, they were together for over 15 years and have two kids together 🙂
@@ImmortalSparrow thank you! I corrected my previous comment!

only 2 left now:)
WHERE IS 4X2???? :c Fan of your reactions to Sherlock c:
The series got low key good after she died
Before that event it was like ok - good so decent overall
Don't blame JW, Busgirl is irresistible.
10:27 You could be the one for Greg? I could be the one for you, Ellie, except you're not into women. lol 😸😁
So I’ve never seen this and never will, but spoiler in the title?
I know right? 😢
It’s been out long enough😂
@@EllieroseReacts Well fair enough ig😂
20:36 Yeah. I never liked this part. It seemed completely out of character for him.
I stopped watching this show after this. 🌻

I remember the backlash after this episode came out. Wasn't pretty.
This episode is the weakest point of the show, the next 2 are great
