you are right. she says "needle." I missed that. happy turkey day! by the way I just love, love, love, these earrings. your demo is wonderful. thank you.
These earrings are just beautiful! Great job on the tut too! You went slow & explained it all so well :) I think I may be able to "fuss" with these.... looks like it will be worth it. I really hope I can find the hoops like you used as well. Thank you for this tutorial & have a great day!
Been crocheting for six weeks learned because I saw a pair of crochet earrings in a magazine for over 100$ so now I know and have made my own thanks to you.
love these earrings i used 2 strands of embroidery floss and size 5 hook, also at the end I slip stitched to the hoop and sc 9 stitches up to the top and one chain to cross over to the other side and 9 sc on the other side and attached with a slip stitch knotted it and hid the tail. I used the shinny seed beads along the edge very beautiful. You are a great teacher had no problem following along.
Thank you so much for posting this video! Most of the tutorials for hoop earrings that I found were on really huge hoops, and I was really not okay with that lol. I love the look of these earrings :)
thank u.. i did get a multi pack of needles at michaels yesterday but im still having a lil trouble finding the "right" one.. either the body of the needle is too large or the head of the needle is too large.. then when i find the right size of both the hole is too small to get thread /yarn thru..lol i will keep trying!! thanks tho i love these earrings
Hi sorry I had not responded sooner but I have been sick. But to answer your question I usually use some inexpensive hoops from the dollar store or I usually get them from a beauty supply store and the thread is crochet thread #10 or #5 either one will work. You can even use embrodery floss.
Your welcome it was my pleasure I know I looked long and hard to find a tutorial and could not find one so I learned on my own and wanted to share with all of you.
Hi Calico Beach I use a regular Canon sx120IS with 10 megapixels. I think I bought this at Walmart a long, long time ago but it is great I like it. The only other things you may consider are a good tripod (I got mine from walmart as well) a piece of fabric (solid color) enough to cover the back and bottom of where you place your items so it looks neat. . Lastly make sure your camera can do Manual. The Manual setting will help you blurr your background when you take pictures in other settings.
No problem I like to use a variety of sizes, starting with 1 1/2" up. I don't thing dollar tree carries them but try dollar general, family dollar or I go to the Beauty supply stores. You can try also Clare's. I don't know where you live but here in Texas they are everywhere. Hope this helps. I can usually get my hoops in a assorted size packet either in silver or gold. If no luck there try your craft store although they are more expensive there. Good Luck!
help,,,,, I start on the left with the lever, having trouble with the second earring keep being on the same side I'm left handed so when i turn the earring it appears Im statring on the same side,
sure if you want to use two or three different colors in your earrings you can do that by switching at the end of each row. For example: Row 1 (which is the row hugging the hoop would be color 1, at the end of this row you would secure it by cutting and pulling your thread through. Row 2 you would start using a different color thread and following you pattern all the way across. At the end of this row you would do the same and so on ... hope this helps and doesn't confuse you.
I don't know what size it is. I usually just test out my needles to see which one fits. I purchase my needle in packs that come with different sizes. Unfortunately they don't come marked on the package itself. I also tend to use larger size beads but I couldn't really tell you what size they were. Sorry :]
Hello i am watching your tutorial and i do undertand english..but i get confused with the sudden pop up of sub comment telling not to chain 1 after dc...but in the video you do it..meaning you have mistake in there.??i will ask before i make one so i will not get wrong also..thank u
hi,in case anyone is wondering,i love to leave todays date when, i see all the crafts on you tube videos, today is Feb 6th,2013,and I prayed to our father in heaven, to help get rid of my tears, thank you so much for being so kind and sharing,My you always be blessed,in Jesus name amen.i love your work, stay in touch, love donise another crafter, artist, book writer, and Minister
I think she was talking about needles not hooks. You can actually do it with the hook you mentioned but it just depends which method you find easiest. Method #1 you use a needle, Method #2 you use a hook. snruffin try one or the other to see which one you like best. Thank you BlessedDove for that info!
Hi, thank you for making this tutorial. I have wanted to learn how to crochet earrings for awhile now. I have only been crocheting afghans up to this point. what kind of webcam is required to make tutorials? ..just wondered. what a concept..its so helpful with learning. Thanks again!!
@mimithomas, I'm not sure what your asking but let me try to answer. You can create the chain around the earring wire itself then when you turn you can hook into the chain you just created. You can even hook around the chain without going into it but that will give you a bulkier look. I would recommend you try it both ways and see what your results are. There is another video by jaimesondesigns channel. Check it out and get different ideas there. Hope this helps.
Yeah I know but that doesn't work for me. I have tried that lots of times and I don't know if it's because I have arthritis or because I just not use to it but my pointer finger gets really tired really quickly and then I have to stop. I so love watching people who crochet like that because it just seem so much more open and flowing. Also my tension get so tight that it is not even funny. So thank you for the input and thanks for watching :)
@@TexasCraftLover Muchas gracias!!!!! Entre tanto comentario, no pensé que me fuera a leer!!!!! Tengo que ver el video un par de veces para practicar, cualquier duda le dejaré un mensaje, saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱😊👍

the smallest crochet hook for crochet thread is 13/14. That's probably the best for a seed bead. happy stitching.

what size needle are u using that goes thru seed beeds?
How long does he seriously last day and all is it hard to do because IMing beginning Crestfair on something Things. And can you give me some tips?
Try using the beading needles with the collapsible eye. Those things will go through just about any bead. I use them for all my beading projects.

You don't actually go through the seed bead with you needle do you? You just string them on to the thread.
