If only every manufacturer would produce and post videos of this high value life would be so much easier. Thank you for this.

This video saved me a lot of money and saved our vacation far from home. I bought a converter board overnight from Amazon and replaced it in thirty minutes in my Airstream. Thanks very much.

Thanks for the main board video. I'm gonna order a lithium model for my existing 35amp. This video gives me the confidence to do what's needed to put PV on my rig w/ a lithium battery. Thanks!

Replacing the main board looks real easy when the panel is relatively clear of other wires but in reality the control panel will have a LOT of other wires running throughout! Plus it will likely be in a difficult place to access like on the floor. Fishing the wires back in will take a bit of time and patience! Wish this old lady luck. Will report back in about 2 weeks after my new main board arrives. I will say, if you call WFCO for tech support they are absolutely fantastic!
One week later. New main board installed. I took my time and double checked everything with a volt meter. Took about 1 hour start to finish. I am getting (according to the meter which is a cheapy) 116v on AC side and 13.68-13.69v on DC side. That is what I was getting a couple months back when I was checking because an RV shop was telling me only 3v at converter and 3v in the battery. Converter seemed to work fine up until about 2 weeks ago when it quite completely. I am wondering if anyone here knows if and/or why a converter might work intermittently?

I wish you would have shown where the transfer switch wires connected to the main panel. Would you use pigtails to run to the 30Amp breaker? I want to have my solar generator able to power my 30amp service inside my RV, so would I need this transfer switch, or just wire the Anderson connector panel mount connection directly to the 30amp breaker? Very helpful video, but this is the only part you left out. Thanks for this very educational video! On second thought, I should connect my wiring from the Anderson panel mount connectors for my solar generator to the DC side pos and neg bus screws- same as the wires from the inverter thus bypassing the inverter in this system as my solar generator is producing 30 amp, 12 volt DC Power.

I'm still a bit confused as to where the 120volt output is connected. Is this connected to the power converter? If so, does it connect to one of the breakers in the converter?

Great video! Hey I'm getting 13.70 to my dc side on fuse panel but I'm not getting 13.70 on the fuse block on battery positive wire. New converter that's only getting ac power in but not DC out. Does this sound like I have a bad fuse panel?
    Thanks

I have the wf-600-th model. What is the white AC output wire? What is it hooked up too? I cannot reset my 7amp circuit breaker on my inverter either. My inverter has no lights lit up. I tested the battery cables going to it and they are at 13.58v

I've got a 2007 Keystone, Laredo 27RL - my 12 VDC seems to be out at all lights, fans, etc. When I cycle the 110 VAC breaker that powers the inverter, the 12 VDC power seems to come on only momentarily then completely nothing again. No warning LEDs are apparent at the 15 amp fuses (blown fuse indicators) so would/could this be an indicator that the power A/C to D/C inverter is failed - and would a replacement be available from WFCO directly if a part number is found?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and great video!!!

It seemed there were input wires with and without a delay before the click of the switch. On the transfer switch supplied for a WFCO inverter on a 2022 Rockwood travel trailer are there two set of 111-120V input wires? One for generator with the delay and one for shore power? If not it would make perfect sense to plug the 30 amp power cable from the trailer input directly into the external generator. Was this auto transfer switch configured differently for a motorhome with a inboard generator?

On my 2022 Flagstaff 27BHWS TT do I need a transfer switch? Transfer switch is throwing me off. I want to replace my WFCO 1000 watt inverter with a 2000 watt inverter and was not planning on a transfer switch... My generator's will be external and plan on connecting as if it were shore power... I feel like I'm missing something here...

Question about the dc volt measurement at the converter, If there is no battery connected as demonstrated then would the normal voltage read approx 13.6 always or could it be less. I have a unit that is giving power however is only registering 13.1, based on trouble shooting in the manual it states should be 13.6 VDC (+/- 0.2). If I am only getting 13.1 does this mean the unit is starting to fail and needs replacing?

Not sure if replies are still being offered, but my 9855 will not power 12V circuits when the battery is not fully charged or it is disconnected at the battery. Why would that be? I looked at 40A reverse polarity fuses and they were not blown, but didn't test for continuity. Also, I did not test the shore power input to the 12V panel. (Update: just checked converter terminals and there is no 12V power,, so I suppose this confirms the converter has died in my 2009 T@DA...) There was power to the other outlets and devices connected to the 120V breakers. Any thoughts would be appreciated because I jumped to the conclusion a battery had to be installed for 12V circuits to work and the converter on the bottom was just a fancy battery charger. Thanks!

This was a lot of basic stuff, but still a great reminder refresher on Converter/chargers, inverters and ATS's. Question do you have any experience with large inverters that feed one leg of an Electrical Panel on RV's that have an Energy Management System installed.

Im plugged in to shore power 100% of the time. I need to replace my converter as it’s loud, erratic and causing flickering issues. Currently a 8955 installed but purchased an 8935 to replace (whoops). However, like I said, I’m always on power no boon-docking. Do you think the lower amperage converter will be an issue?

      WF-8955-MBA

    • @wfcoelectronics
      @wfcoelectronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You would need a WF-8955-ad-mba. As for the voltage on the fuse board, if you are not reading the same voltage on both sides of the fuse then the fuse would be blown. The voltage is still present on one side of fuse but lower voltage than the other side. The voltage is still there to power the blown fuse LED, and they are correct in their statement that there is voltage but no amperage. Let me know if this doesn’t help.
