You don't know how much I needed to hear this. My husband passed away 7 months ago and I have totally lost all energy and motivation to take care of myself. It is just a struggle to take a shower or get off of my office chair and move around. I did not know that grief can impact your energy level so much. It does suck the life out of you and make you feel like you don't want to do anything. It also doesn't help having a work from home desk job. I have gained 30 pounds since I lost my husband and I can feel my health declining due to gaining this weight. Thank you for the motivation to get up and start moving!
I am so, so very sorry for the loss of your dear husband. Grief truly does suck your energy away, but it's so important that you recognized that you need to take care of your own health! Slow, simple steps -- you can do this. Sending you so much love and encouragement. ❤️
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my husband of 48 years in September and know exactly how you feel. I am retired so don’t have the “work” motivation. However, I give in to the slow days and usually a couple of good days will follow. Take care of yourself❤️
Enjoyed hearing this today...made me feel less alone. I actually started a workout routine Monday...a self proclaimed 60 day glow up challenge for myself if you will. One of my worst behaviors with depression is that I never stick to anything...as I often become derailed by emotions and go right back to feeling paralyzed 😞. I am trying to make this fun for myself and got a 60 day challenge chart off of pinterest and doing some intentional positive self talk throughout the day...ultimately this is more about me ACTUALLY following through despite my emotions...bc I've become so tired of myself...and I know I'll never have a better life if I can't even commit to my own well being for 60 days. ❤🙏 I'm glad you're here. And I got my "still going" t shirt the other day and love it!!
That sounds like an amazing plan! Remember that it is not all or nothing-- If you mess up give yourself some grace and then get back to it. Keep me posted how it's going! ❤️

This was a great reminder and so true! Needed it today.
Sometimes it's really hard, but it sure does help. ❤️
