Been following & loving these guys since the early 00's. As it is w/any jambands, some shows are better than others. YMMV, natch. Glad to have the opportunity to relive this one, didn't realize it was posted. So my comments are based on my original take. I will come back & edit as needed:
Saw them up by me (I live near UCONN in Eastern CT) at Infinity Hall Hartford a handful of times, most recently early? 2022, all those shows were Epic. Drove down to Fairfield for this one, crowd was Scant, probably since Phil Lesh was playing his birthday run final show at The Cap, & both bands share a very similar fanbase. (Personally I skip any Phil w/his son in the lineup but YMMV, natch). Oh yeah, it was Sunday of St Paddy's day weekend (the week or 2 of the year I am Ashamed of my part Irish heritage lmfao), so the drinky mc drunk crowd was home nursing hangovers in time for Mon work day.
Soooo, 1st set was good but brief, 2nd set was ok for most of it, then, really REALLY rushed at the end, like, 3 or 4 fast pop/rockers to close, no encore, house lights & music came on promptly at 11 pm, felt totally like the venue pulled the plug on them at 11 due to low bar sales (happens at venues all over CT & Western MA all the time. We're still Puritans lol). I mean, I'm not faulting the venue, it's a great place w/good sound, a nice balcony for older geriatric folks like me, friendly staff, reasonable ticket & drink prices. I can't blame them for needing to turn a profit lol. Again, not really anyone's fault the crowd was thin. They usually draw well, even on week nights. I felt bad for all involved.
Hopefully it sounds better upon relisten. Already really enjoying the 3rd song of the 1st set, ~17 min's in.
I'm seeing them again this Sunday at Infinity, looking forward, it's been rescheduled a couple times.
