Just saw them last Friday in San Diego... they did the entire Pink album. It was amazing!!! The played The Casbah.. sold out/totally packed. Boris is superb live, totally exciting from beginning to end... do NOT miss them play the Pink album, it's worth any effort.
Saw 'em back in December. They were insane. During Just Abandoned Myself, Atsuo crowdsurfed and fell on top of me as he came back toward the stage. Takeshi held his bass/guitar over our heads at the end of the encore, letting us scratch at the strings to create even more racket. Wata smiled and bowed at us when it was all over. Best show I've seen in years.

I love how chaotic and noisy it is, yet the songwriting is so good that despite being in for most people foreign language it’s as popular in the west as it is. And the best part is if you get into this band, you’ll never have to worry about running out of stuff to listen to

I saw them at Lee's Palace on Thursday and it was honestly one of the most awe inspiring shows that I have ever been at in my entire life. They were so amazing live and pulled everything off amazingly. If you haven't witnessed Boris live and they are coming near you sometime soon, go check them out.

yeah. that's why the band is awesome. look for the songs/records where boris is written lower case, those are the experimental ones, while the ones with upper case letters are basic casual 60s/70s hard rock whatever. Example: BORIS PINK (uppercase) and boris/SunnO))) Altar (lowercase)

This is The Stooges meets Dianasour Jr......very very very BITCHEN n COOL!!! It's nice to hear stuff thats original and ultra mod rock mixed with a touch of psychadellia acid sound with out being too distorted aka..Sonic Youth. These folks are living to play and it shows. Hope they do well...I'll buy it!!!!

I've heard about Sunn's (the band) live act being shut down for being too loud before, and also that they don't mic up their amps, so I'd imagine it would be loud as all hell, I guess one would have to anticipate the impracticality.

There's two versions, you can check it on Wiki. I don't know for sure if the sound is initially different, but the Japanese version has been leaked, and I did listen, and Message (which in the American version is "Statement", AKA, this track)is FAR more different than this one. Slower, a bit heavier, thicker bass lines, and what not. I'm buying the American version, though, so yeah. I guess I'll have to see the differences exactly. I think this IS designed for U.S. release specifically.

I wouldn't say people are put off, Boris is pretty popular in the US. I picked them up on vinyl with almost no effort at all. Plus this vid has over 100,000 views.

drone isnt about how clear it sounds. Its about the chordal "drones" played over measures at a time. This is definitely drone metal.
