Patrick- I am a collector - a collector of ties. I have 250+ in my collection, ten from The Dark Knot alone; and I'm retired!!! I just ordered from Sterling-Scott and I am looking forward to wearing it to a formal dinner later this month where I need to wear a tux. Let the comments begin (and touching). Keep them coming, Patrick.
+Ron Derr Hi Ron, I'm still working on my tie collection and it is no where close to 250 yet. I'm a big fan of the Sterling-Scott ties and it is always a real eye catcher when I wear them about. Don't forget my promo code to save you a couple of extra dollars. TIEGUY33 feel free to send me pictures through facebook or instagram . Thanks.
Man.... I enjoy the tutorials you give for the ties. Big props to Noel Junio for coming up with the design. I just viewed the video and I'm wearing it for the day. Bravo!
Thank you for making all these videos available! There are many channels like this one, but your's is the one! One should never under-estimate the power a carefully chosen tie and knot. Specially in an office were everyone wears a suit and tie or at a party when... yeah, suits and neck-/bowtie are given. I won't say having a different knot every other day got me my latest promotion, but the subtle indication of one putting a little more effort into one's looks is important. And the double windsor really gets rather boring after a few years...
Ah!! Finally!! another video--been waiting for this for quite some time. (not that i'll be wearing this in a formal setting, is very nice) Keep em coming!!
Hey Patrick I really like this knot! Also great job on the video, I'm not sure what you changed but this is the best quality I have seen so far! Finally, I was wondering if you ever got my knot called the Rose Bloom Knot. Keep up the great work!
LawrenceWalles I'm not sure what I changed, but thank you and i'll try to keep it up :) I have an email with an extended kaleidoscope pictures, but nothing with the Rose Bloom knot. I'd love to see it. Thanks.
If, like me, you find the little end distracting when complete - lopsided etc there is an easy fix. rather than tuck the little end through the bottom, simply wrap it again as in the early steps and thread it through both pairs of loops across the front. thread it under your collar and youre good to go. It doesnt damage or alter the delicate appearance of the knot and nicely keeps that loose end tucked away. Especially if you have a tie with an alternate backing colour on the tip.
Trying to figure out if these ties are meant for average to short guys? I only ask as I am 6'6" and want to make sure I am not wasting my time in trying this to only have it too short! I would appreciate any info.
Tom Palmer Everywhere. Some are very affordable, some a low quality and I bought them just for a demonstration, many are whole sale direct, many are gifts. I have favorites that I wear most often, but many are props for videos :) Thanks for the great question.
Hello Mr. Novotny, I am a young tie enthusiast and am wondering if you would be so kind as to make a video of one of my original tie knots? I know you've done videos of tie knots that other people have designed, I just don't know where you find them. I'm about to post my first tie video on my channel, if you are interested. Thank you very much! Regards, Nelson Walker
This is by far the craziest knot I have ever seen, and I successfully did it in one shot...great job in the how-to.

You will need an extra long tie and some of them will require a vest to pull off.
wow simply outstanding you are my favorite patrick i`m sure try this knot very soon
Raaj Malhotra Awesome, feel free to share a picture on instagram with me.
Where do you get the majority of your neckties? Or does you get them just from various places?
Tom Palmer Everywhere. Some are very affordable, some a low quality and I bought them just for a demonstration, many are whole sale direct, many are gifts. I have favorites that I wear most often, but many are props for videos :) Thanks for the great question.
Ok! Where do you shop for your luxury ties from? 😁

+Gledston Martinho Lomazzi Thank You.
Brazil 👍🇧🇷
jajajajaja I like that
Brasil 👍🇧🇷
I just simply cannot get this knot right with a normal neck tie.
+Cory Gamboa You could use a vest to make hide it or use a long necktie to make up the difference.
nevermind, i was doing one of the steps wrong.
this one looks stupid
GoldenGamerNo1 Sorry about that. I hope there is one to your liking.
Patrick Novotny Don't get me wrong, it's only this one knot I don't realy like. Most of the other knots you show us are great. ;-)
GoldenGamerNo1 No problem, some of them I suspect will never be popular but that's OK because I want to do them all.
