Just a quick tip .. when your getting a good signal , or a scratchy one , turn 90 degrees on it . If your still getting a good hi tone ,sometimes it could have a little break up ,then chances are it will be a good conductive target . coin ect. ,But if your getting that same good signal and turn 90 on it and hear solid grunts , then 99 percent chance it will be a nail . also when your getting that signal keep the coil pretty much on the ground and lock on it. meaning pin point it . because that will give you the true depth on that machine . the areas I hunt in almost all the good old coins are 5 inches or deeper . so when you get a shallow hit ,and your not centered on it , the depth meter will be way off . The good thing I see is that your not using a lot of disc. , and your running it in combined in ferrus coin. ferrus coin is the way to go , but down side is it puts everything on the 12 line making everything come up as a coin , I had to spend countless hours on my ctx to train my ears to know when I have a nail , a coin with a nail, a coin on edge ect. and if you do get a one way hit and no grunting or even a hi , then dig it , could be coin on edge..hang in there , and get use to what that machine is telling you , and you will be finding silver every time ! GL/hh thumbs up
If you wanna find silver, find a old college or high school! I found so much silver & gold class rings a Butler University it was like every other target was a jackpot!
Well my friend, I gotta say I don't think it's meant for you to find silver lol. And that last day of that big tree root, all of that for a nail. And I think that one thing you found was what was left of an old water or gas shut off. Not sure but that's what it looked like to me. Thanks for sharing brother.
