      @@DebunkedOfficialYou have a whole whole lot of misinformation in this video. This is very disappointing coming from a channel named "debunkedofficial". You accepted a bunch of wild claims as fact without fact checking them. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of a channel that debunks things.....

      I heard it's because the past had more oxygen which helped to grow the creatures' sizes.

    Hi do you have any connection to the old all time conspiracy channel?
    I think I recognised the voice over as being a guy from that channel.
    I’m trying to get hold of a copy of the video made about the Big Grey man of Ben Mcduhi !
    I’m planning a trip up to it next year early summer and would like to make my own video about it and use the original video as reference.
    If you could help in any way or put me in touch with the team that made it that would be fantastic.
    Thanks.

    Just a bit of relief and doom to think about - if we ever reach the average temperatures that allowed those giant ancient snakes to thrive, no one has to worry about it. Because most of humanity would be already dead, if not completely extinct.
    We're already worried that it might be an extinction level event if Climate Change goes over the 3 degree Celsius threshold by the end of the century, with different potential chain of events causing total collapse of human societies...
    Also, separate question - wasn't there a scientific formula to calculate what size different species of animals could reach based only on gravity effects and perhaps stuff like skin surface area and lung volume? I remember seeing something like this somewhere.

    • @alexcrowder1673

      Not of the 500lb anaconda because it never existed. The largest anaconda ever verified was just over 300lbs and was housed and measured in Pittsburg zoo in 1960. The guy who made this video used TERRIBLE sources. Its extra frustrating because this is supposed to be a channel that debunks things!
      There are plenty of photos of the pittsburg snake. Baby the 403lb burmese python also has a lot of photos available. Ive met her in person. Theres also Medusa the reticulated python who is around 450lbs. ive met her too. Again her size is easily confirmed and there are plenty of photos. She hasnt been officially reweighed by guinness book of world records since her original 25ft 2 inch record at 350lbs, however, she has been unofficially reweighed at 450lbs and there is photographic evidence that supports that claim. She even had a live webcam running for awhile, so you could watch her 24/7. Shes as real as it gets. Basically, medusa holds the current world record and the owners are not interested in paying for guinness book of world records to fly back out until another snake threatens her title as the largest living snake. There are also some crazy regulations regarding snake records. Guinness book of world records requires 9 seperate measurements in order to claim the record. They do not allow any room for error. As you can imagine, getting a 25ft snake to lay straight 9 times in a row is extreeeeemely difficult. Its hard enough trying to measure snakes in the 12-15ft range, trust me, ive done it.

    The reticulated python shot and killed in 1912 is not verifiable because dead snakes stretch quite a bit and it was not measured while alive.
    Also, absolutely NO anaconda has ever reached 500lbs. The largest anaconda ever verified was housed and measured in pittsburg zoo in 1960. She was 20ft 6 inches long and barely 300lbs. 500lb anaconda do not exist. Not on an empty stomach. Im disappointed that a facr checking channel didnt do better fact checking. If you followed the rabbit hole, you would quickly learn that 500lb anaconda never even existed. The anaconda is only the 3rd heaviest snake on earth according to actual verifiable records. Both Medusa (350lbs and later 450lbs) the reticulated python owned by full moom productions, and Baby (403lbs) the (late) Burmese python who was owned by serpent safari before she passed away exceed the weight of any anaconda on record. Just because a newspaper said a snake was 500lbs doesnt mean that it was. You guys should know that! Also, 6.25 meters is NOT the norm for reticulated pythons. Not even close. Thats like saying most women are over 6ft tall. Sure SOME women are over 6ft tall, but it would be misleading to say women regularly reach 6ft tall, because that is well above average.

    • @harish123az
      @harish123az ปีที่แล้ว

      When we talk about world ending today, its more from a view of human civilization as we know it. Earth and life will of course continue and might even flourish after human beings are gone. Human beings are worried more about their existence. If temperatures had remained that high, human beings and other warm blooded mammals would probably never have come into existence and cold blooded reptiles would still be ruling the earth
