Really would like an action figure of Super Godzilla. Since it was the basis (probably) for the Space Godzilla design.

I played Double Smash a lot as a kid. If you picked Mothra and flew to the top of the screen and charged your beam attack and held it, you'd never take damage. That was my exploit

The developer of Godzilla Animated Series & Monster Wars, Crawfish Interactive, went on to develop Street Fighter Alpha for GBC & Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper for the GBA. Both of which were VERY good. Alpha 3 Upper would actually be their final game before closing down.
The music from these games is genuinely some of the worst I have ever heard in my entire life. It makes cicadas sound like opera singers and nails on a chalkboard sound like Bohemian Rhapsody.
I think the worst part of the Godzilla a Game Boy game is that the American version didn’t include Godzilla Kun characters

I actually liked the NES Godzilla 2. It wasn’t easy to find when it was new. Always found it to be a fun strategy game. Reminded me of a video version for some of the similar style board games Avalon Hill made at the time-
Same. I always found it an enjoyable game. Would love if someone made a ROMhack that improved on the weaknesses of the game.
@@yaburu it looks like it may have been ported/updated for the Sega Gamegear back in 1995. The game is called Godzilla: Kaijuu Daishingeki (Godzilla: Monsters Attack) and on romhackingDOTnet a fully english patch was made for it
Hedora in the one game looks like Gossamer from Loony Tunes.
It is a tad weird that netlfix doesn't have Jurassic Park in the USA.

What Godzilla and The Simpsons have in common is that they both have a sea of bad games with only a handful that is considered gold but that handful we hold very close to us.
The references to exes are weirdly specific.

1:13 yes I did understand that reference though as much as I’m a fan of the book, the animation: Around the World with Willy Fog is a wonderful heartfelt classic from my childhood that despite changing out the characters for anthropomorphic versions it’s a fairly solid adaptation.
It’s was extremely popular at the time, so much so they did a sequel series that continued the adventures based around two more Jules Verne stories, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
Apparently there’s even a live-action theatrical musical show based around the animated series, and now I know about it I must see it!
For anyone interested, you can find the complete series of both the original and sequel as well as Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds, another literary classic that was adapted into an animated series with anthropomorphic characters.
The company must have had a thing for this theme because they did it a third time with Sandokan which is a series of novels around a fictional pirate, which although I’m not a familiar with I absolutely will be checking out this show too.

Poor Zilla, he can never seem to win. He was the main "star" of what is widely considered an insult to Godzilla, and now he has TWO of not only bad Godzilla games, but the WORST Godzilla games. I just feel sorry for him at this point ):

I’m glad I’m not the only one who got suckered with Double Smash. My uncle bought me a DS cart called Cyclo DS Evolution which used micro SD cards to save hundreds of games onto, and Double Smash was one of the random games he put on there. I’d played Godzilla Unleashed at a friends house years before, so I thought it would be a similar game just with DS graphics. Boy was I wrong. I beat the game and I enjoyed the art style, but the game itself wasn’t really fun at all. Not the worst game ever, but definitely not good in the slightest
double smash kinda got a old school flash game vibe to it... in a bad way
The original NES godzilla is still my favorite godzilla game. Tournament fighters to me get very boring very quickly unless you are playing with friends. So that original NES game was the only one i played that had actual levels, a narrative, and a good progression with a lot of monsters. I just wish mothra didnt suck so much to use lol.
