And this was reason of Sultan Murad's brutality, such people really need Sultan like Sultan Murad. At the end, I was sad that Kosem Sultan goes against Sultan Murad, if they worked together, they could be magnificent, but it was fate.

Sultan Murad IV was both strong willed and physically strong. His dominant mother had tried to make him abhor women, and all his life she induced both lust and hate in Murad. She turned him into homicidal maniac. His cruelty became legendary and, in his later years, he killed people, especially females, just because of ill humour or a whim. Murad was an uncultivated, strong willed dark eyed giant and he was immensely cruel. Boastful of his muscular strength, he excelled in wrestling and javelin throwing. It was Kosem Sultan who orchestrated the murder of her 3stepsons, Shehzade Bayizaad, Shehzade Suleyman and Shehzade Selim on Murad's 23rd birthday. His popular brother Shehzade Bayezid was highly skilled in jousting and in 1635 he threw Murad off in a joust. Shorty thereafter, on Murad's 23rd birthday Shehzade Beyazid, Shehzade Suleyman and Shehzade Selim were murdered. Shehzade Selim and Shehzade Suleyman were also excellent in swordsmenship and gave Murad a tough competition. That's was their crimes and they were threats to Walida Sultan and Sultan Murad IV. When his own mother betrayed him, slow poisoned him daily, he killed his full brother Shehzade KASIM in 1638

He killed and he killed plenty. But him killing women at a whim is nonsense invented by anti Muslim modernist .
He ruled at a time when a strong ruler was needed. Laxity and decadence was found in abundance within the corrupt courts of the Ottomans at that time. Sultan Murad re established Shari rulings and slaughtered many who blocked the way.

Murad was a great leader, he gave all the traitors what they deserve, society made him cruel, shaped him when he was a child so they have no right to complain now. They murdered Osman who would have been a great sultan because he had good ideas about reforms, but the peasants as usual, ruined everything! So I don't feel pity for the people, they should have thought twise before they decided to attack the dynasty who tried to fix the state. Murad was right to be cruel to peasants who were also cruel to his family, that's why he is one of the greatest sultans in history ⚔❤

    • @aldebaranalazar6529

Not knowing why peasants didn't like Osman from the first place. Osman killed his brother,Kosem's first born son. His father didn't kill his brother but Osman started this again. Same year it was the coldest winter ever recorded in the history of istanbul. So people blamed that was a curse because he killed his brother.

Because Suleiman's forefathers (Selim l,Beyazid ll,Mehmed ll,Murad ll) organized and strengthened the empire but Murad lV's forefathers (Selim ll, Murad lll,Mehmed lll, Mustafa l) led the empire to the brink of almost destruction.
Osman ll also wanted to bring the janissaries under control and because of this he had to lose his life in the worst way. During the reign of Suleiman's era, there were no rival for the throne because of the law of fratricide. But during Ahmed l, fratricide law was cancelled. As a result, everyone thought," If we remove our sultan, there are many one (Sultan's brothers) to capture the throne. For this situation,if the sultan went against the will of janissaries or sipahies, it's not so hard for them unitedly to rebell agsinst the sultan. And sultan always had to be afraid for his throne. Again, women's politics also was greatly responsible for that situation. But During Suleiman l, there were no toxic women's politics.(Though Hurrem sultan, wife of Suleiman, started women sultanate.)

Sultan Murad started his reign as anti-corruption fighter but ended as a random murderer. Just read about his life. He really loved killing people for sake of it. Once upon a time he ordered to stitch a group of women dancing noisily in the sacks and throw in Bosphorus. Why? He was annoyed by their laughter and noise. He would also shoot arrows at the random boats. Just a sadistic tyrant using the problems of his time and government as an excuse in indulge in his "hobbies". Similar to Vlad the Impaler. Most of the paintings are made based on the description of the ambassadors that went to the palace but they never actually saw them. It was solely based on what they heard they looked like. Besides, as far as I know, paintings like those are not accepted, or were not accepted in Islam.

@@dianam6779 What you are saying might sound logical at first but its really not. First of all it depends on historical period. Secondary it depends on where and when the painting was done. And third thing that matters is that men were actually allowed if they were eunuchs. And thats actually TYPICAL for Ottoman empire. The harem was actually administrated by eunuchs. So before you say "its simply wrong" check your facts please.

@@martinbudinsky8912 When it comes to the time period I was referring strictly to the Sultanate of Women period since that is the one I’m truly interested in. Even if eunuchs were allowed they wouldn’t casually paint the sultanas. But again, not a lot is known about their life in the harem so I might be wrong. What I said is solely based on what I learned while reading articles and following people who study the era.

@@dianam6779 Given that you say "even if" to the eunuchs I dont believe you know very much about the Ottoman empire. Because that is something thats considered common knowledge when it comes to their harems. :D

Muslims needed monarchy like Ottomon cause disbelievers were killing Muslims like the byzantine empire and mongol empire. The Muslims became powerful when the Ottomon empire established during Sultan Osman 1 era

@@mohammedusmanmufti5311 "disbelievers were killing Muslims like the byzantine empire" - I dont want to break it to you but it was the other way around. It was Turkish people that were constantly invading and raiding Byzantine empire from the east not the other way around. Which resulted in Byzantine emperor asking for help from Pope. Pope took it a bit too far and came up with crusades (from which one even plundered Konstantinopol - todays Istambul). Also mongols became Islamic only AFTER invading the middle east and plundering it (funnily enough this was at the same time crusades from Europe were happening). Few centuries passed and Byzantine empire and crusader states (more like city states really - Jerusalem, Acre (=Akko), ...) were conquered by the turkish and arabic people and Ottoman empire came to be.

You should read your history better, the Byzantines raided muslim countries before the Turks even where established. Even after the Ottoman empire the byzantines attacked countries in the Balkans, even different Balkan countries like serbia or bulgaria attacked each other for conquest or raids, not the mention the kingdoms in western europe etc. ;) So yes the world was in constant warfare so the Muslim did indeed need a unification ;)
