- Christian singer Rebecca St. James chats about her signature song "Wait for Me" and her husband, Jacob. Jacob is Cubbie Fink, the bass player for the Grammy Award-nominated band Foster the People. Backstory-Jacob joined Rebecca for a few days on her tour last October (2011). A couple of guys in her band suggested, "Hey, we don't have a bass player. Wanna play?" I was the concert promoter & managed to find a bass guitar on a Sunday. The stop in Platteville Wisconsin was just the second time Jacob joined Rebecca on stage. I've seen RSJ in concert 7-8x's, have shot a few interviews with her, followed her career, blah blah blah. This is my favorite Rebecca moment.

I'm so grateful to God that Rebecca, in all her years of waiting and praying and being faithful, was rewarded in marrying someone who was waiting and praying and being faithful to her too. After having kept an eye on her ministry and how it kept going through the years and kept pouring her heart out for so many thousands of people, it is so inspiring to see her get the nod from God in her life.
He’s a great bass player. His playing on Foster The Peoples “Supermodel” record is spectacular
Our family has followed Rebecca's life since the 90's. We had her CDs she is a breath of fresh air and her family is precious

And apparently he waited for his wife too.. I mean it's unbelievable... they seem like two completely diff. worlds. YOU NEVER KNOW WHERE GOD'S PEOPLE ARE!! This was really inspirational to me, because I want a christian man too, but I'm worried he'll be too "churchy". I like concerts and art and all types of music and adventure, def. not anyone borring or close minded..
But I mean, REBECCA ST JAMES friggen married a member of FOSTER THE PEOPLE. HOW cool is that?...it's just blowing my mind guys.

I too am waiting for the right Christian guy to come into my life as well!!! I tell people, I'd keep my morals and standards high and wait for the right man, then lower everything and just settle for something.
That's understandable. It's important to keep morals and standards. Sometimes it's hard to stay strong but at the end everything will be worth the wait. God is in control and always will be.

I need to say this, I just became a huge foster the people fan, and so ive been reading about them and watching videos. I had NO idea that He was a christian. So many peopel say that they are "christian" but they dont live there life that way. I met my husband when I was 19 and I was a Christian I wanted to wait till I got married, i ended up not waiting, I found out later my hubby has a lot of mental health issues, People would tell me to pray about it and I would pary for him and nothing-

-Changed, He is not a believer, and I can say now , almost 7 years later, thatI am not the same girl I was back then, Im not even a believer anymore and I am in a marriage that is unhealthy emotionally. I now feel I have this emotion fight going on with God, where I really resent him for these last years, sometime i feel I dont even believe at all anymore.
